The nice weather means it’s time to start cleaning up more of Lucy’s skeleton.
It’s a true honor to have almost her entire skeleton at home, and I can’t wait to see what else I uncover as we work down cleaning the bones piece by piece. I already have a few questions on my mind regarding her skull which is the first place I’ve started so far!
Next I’ll be cleaning up the cervical vertebrae.

‼️Following nested images may be disturbing to some, scroll at your own discretion‼️ I wanted to leave the true colors to show how beautiful it can be, but also to represent it accurately.

This past weekend I attended my 2nd Full Horse dissection with Lorre Mueller of Trinity Equine Services. I highly recommend any equestrian rider/owner/professional of any sort attend her dissections as she travels all across the country.
Following this weekends events we are grateful for our wonderful teachers both horse and human. And we hug our own ponies a little tighter at home.

Though it may not always seem it, when there’s “new and improved” supplements/grains and products hitting shelves daily, the equine science world is prehistoric with some of its information. Mostly due to not studying actual horses & their bodies. False information is what leads to a dangerous environment. Without accurate knowledge, we as a community will not be able to progress to where we need to be for our horse’s best interests.

Lately I’ve been silently struggling with wrapping my brain around the ethics of riding, and questioning if I’ll ever be able to look at horses and riding in the same ways I used to. Truthfully, I know that there’s some things you just can’t unsee, and these past few years have been more than eye opening.
So though I still plan to ride, it’s been a tough internal battle to grapple with. This weekends teacher proved to me we need to listen when they say “No” and that there’s more under the surface than we could ever imagine from the outside. But I’m hoping to come to terms that as long as I prepare my horses to the best of my abilities and most importantly listen to the “No”, that I can live with that. As long as I’m listening, they will tell me what I need to hear just like they always have.

So do your horse’s a favor, and listen a little more to all the quiet things they have to say, the good the bad and ugly. Before they have to scream at you.

During this heat wave or any strenuous summer activities, it’s important to hose down your horses, be sure to focus on these key areas!
💧Jugular Vein(Neck groove)
💧Femoral Artery(Inner thigh of hind limbs)

These areas are close to the skin allowing to cool down circulating blood quickly to lower body temperature in a jiffy!

💧*A Rubbing alcohol/Water dilution (50:50 or 25:75) also helps aid in quick cooling and evaporation if you’re in a pinch, works great for cooling down legs!*

Hello Everyone! I wanted to discuss a few updates:

💙 First, starting July 1st we will be introducing a referral program! I truly appreciate my clients and wanted to find a way to pay it forward. For every client referral that books off your referral, you will receive $10 off your next session. (You must show proof of referral when they book, just so I can keep track!)
💙 Secondly, unfortunately due to the rise in costs of living and continued education costs I must raise our rates. ((This will NOT effect my Current clients❗️You will all remain at your current rate))
However, in effect July 1st for new clients we will be $95/session. We hope you understand this will be put towards our furthering of education to better you and your horse. Sessions as always run 60-90mins and conclude with a summary report.
💙 Lastly, With the price increase we would also like to introduce a ship in option! This will be Discounted prices and have additional options such as use of the Theraplate. As well as extended stay board options for horses requiring more frequent attention, rehab or multiple lighter/smaller sessions. Pricing is TBD based on your horses needs, but will cut costs down significantly. (Location: Westport, MA )
