Do all In-Center dialysis treatments work the same way? Not Exactly.

💡Hemodiafiltration (HDF) is an advanced In-Center dialysis therapy designed to remove a broader range of waste and toxins from your blood clearing both small and middle‑sized molecules.

🔬 Conventional hemodialysis (HD) mainly targets smaller molecules.

📊 Clinical studies show that when HDF is delivered with a high volume of additional cleaning fluid, it may support improved patient outcomes. This enhanced therapy modality is known as HighVolumeHDF¹*.

To support access to this advanced therapy in the United States, the 5008X™ CAREsystem is the first In‑Center dialysis device designed to deliver Hemodiafiltration (HDF) and HighVolumeHDF, an advanced form of HDF.

What if your dialysis treatment could help you stay more active and engaged in daily life?

📊 Patients treated in clinical studies with High-Volume Hemodiafiltration have reported better preserved physical abilities and mental clarity (1,2)* when compared with conventional hemodialysis.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 HighVolumeHDF may also help maintain patients’ ability to participate in family and social life and reduce pain interference in daily activities (1,2)*.

To enable delivery of this therapy in the United States, the 5008X™ CAREsystem is the first FDA-cleared In‑Center dialysis device in the U.S. designed to deliver Hemodiafiltration (HDF) and HighVolumeHDF, an advanced form of HDF.

When unexpected challenges arise, having support can make all the difference.

After a severe storm caused significant damage to Jessica’s home, she and her family were suddenly living in a hotel while navigating repairs and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for their children.

During this difficult time, Jessica’s supervisor encouraged her to apply for the CARES Fund, Fresenius Medical Care’s employee hardship fund, which helped to provide immediate relief.

“The CARES Fund has been a blessing to me and my family when needed the most, and I am truly grateful for it,” Jessica shared. “That’s what it’s there for, to help. And if you need help, let them help.”

The support helped to cover temporary housing, replace lost food after a power outage, and provide stability while repairs were underway. Most importantly, it gave Jessica and her family peace of mind during an incredibly stressful time.

At Fresenius Medical Care, we’re people caring for people: not only for our patients, but for one another. Stories like Jessica’s reflect the care and commitment that make our culture so meaningful.

Ever wonder if in-center dialysis could feel different?
Every dialysis journey is deeply personal. Listen to what Alexander experienced with HighVolumeHDF.

“I used to feel weak and wobbly after in-center hemodialysis — sometimes I’d lose my balance. Since switching to the new therapy on the new device, I’m steadier on my feet and recover faster after treatment.”*

What if your in‑center dialysis treatment could do even more for you?
High-Volume Hemodiafiltration is designed to take your care a step further compared to conventional hemodialysis.

ℹ️ High-Volume Hemodiafiltration (HighVolumeHDF) is an advanced dialysis treatment and one of the fastest growing dialysis therapies around the world.

📊 Clinical evidence shows that when a sufficiently high volume of fluids is removed through the dialyzer with hemodiafiltration (HDF), improvement in patient outcomes may occur. This is known as HighVolumeHDF (HVHDF). Some potential patient benefits include:

✅ Preserve Quality of Life (1,2)†*
✅ Live Longer (1)†*
✅ Maintain stable blood pressure (3,4)†§‡ and reduce cramps (5,6)†§ during dialysis
✅ Improve recovery time post-dialysis (5,7)†§
✅ Lower risk of hospital stays (3,8)†§

To enable delivery of this therapy in the United States, the 5008X™ CAREsystem is the first FDA-cleared in‑center dialysis device designed to perform Hemodiafiltration (HDF) and HighVolumeHDF, an advanced form of HDF.

👉 Learn more about the 5008X CAREsystem and HighVolumeHDF — link available in the first comment.

* Based on reduced mortality risk and slower decline in Quality of Life in patients treated with HighVolumeHDF compared to standard HD
† The clinical studies showing the above potential outcomes with HighVolumeHDF were conducted outside of the U.S. and did not involve the 5008X CAREsystem. Patient experiences may vary when being treated with HighVolumeHDF therapy.
‡ HDF patients in this study were younger and had fewer co-morbidities.
§ Not all studies show the same outcome and not all patients will experience the same benefit.

Did you know in-center dialysis isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all?
Patients can receive care through several different therapy options, each designed to meet different clinical needs.

In‑center dialysis therapies include:
🔷 Conventional Hemodialysis (HD)
🔷 Hemodiafiltration (HDF) and High‑Volume Hemodiafiltration, an advanced form of HDF

❓ Why does this matter?
HDF is designed to remove a broader range of waste and toxins from your blood — clearing both small and middle‑sized molecules. Conventional HD mainly targets smaller molecules.

❓ What makes HighVolumeHDF different?
Clinical studies show that when HDF is delivered with a high volume of additional cleaning fluid, it may support improved patient outcomes¹*. This enhanced therapy modality is known as HighVolumeHDF.

Now these advanced therapies are available in the US through the 5008X™ CAREsystem.
