Celebrating One Year of Service! 🎉🧪
Today marks one year since Aurora Health Co. began serving our community.
What started as a vision to make laboratory testing more accessible has grown into an opportunity to help individuals take a more active role in their health. We believe objective data, combined with collaboration with licensed healthcare providers, empowers people to make informed healthcare decisions.
As I reflect on our first year, I’m incredibly grateful for the lives we’ve been privileged to impact.
Highlights from Year One:
🧪 Expanding access to laboratory testing for individuals who may have otherwise gone without care due to cost or limited access.
🩺 Helping identify significant vitamin deficiencies through laboratory testing, including critically low vitamin B1 and vitamin D levels, allowing clients to promptly connect with licensed healthcare providers for evaluation and treatment—potentially helping prevent serious complications.
🦋 Supporting the identification of thyroid disorders by helping clients recognize laboratory findings consistent with both hypo- and hyperthyroidism, leading them to seek appropriate medical evaluation and care.
🫁 Recognizing concerning health findings beyond the laboratory. During one client visit, we noted a concerning oxygen saturation level and encouraged prompt follow-up with a licensed healthcare provider. The client was subsequently diagnosed with emphysema, began appropriate treatment, and has since remained cigarette- and nicotine-free.
