Maybe your child needs additional support to be successful in a preschool setting. Maybe you’re considering a “bonus year” before Kindergarten and aren’t sure what the right next step is. Or maybe your child is already in preschool and could benefit from 1:1 support within their classroom to help your child build the skills they need to be successful and independent.

Come tour our new center and meet our team! ✨While we are not a school or preschool, our center-based ABA program incorporates many of the natural routines and expectations of a preschool and Kindergarten classroom. Services are individualized based on each child’s unique needs, with a focus on building the skills that can help them be more successful and independent in a classroom setting.

We can also provide services within a child’s preschool or daycare setting, allowing our team to collaborate with their classroom staff and support skills where they naturally occur.

At our center, kiddos may work on things like:

• Classroom and group routines
• Circle time and following directions
• Playing and interacting with peers
• Communication and functional language
• Transitions and flexibility
• Independence with daily routines
• School-readiness skills Pottty training
• And lots of learning through PLAY! 🧸🎨

We also offer Speech and OT, allowing our team to collaborate across disciplines and support each child’s individual goals.

The right therapy setting looks different for every child. 💙

An individualized clinical recommendation might include services at home, in daycare, preschool, a center, or in a combination of settings. Each environment offers unique opportunities to build different skills.

Our new center was intentionally designed to support learning through play, peer interaction, natural routines, and collaboration between ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy. Throughout the day, children have opportunities to build communication, social skills, independence, and regulation in ways that are engaging, individualized, and fun.

For families considering another year before kindergarten, center settings can provide a great opportunity to continue building foundational skills through individualized autism services.

🎉 Exciting Friday Announcement! We’re thrilled to share Aurora Autism Centers is now IN-NETWORK with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield commercial insurance plans. 🎉

What a great day at the SPARK Family Fun Resource Carnival! ☀️ Aurora Autism Centers and were proud to spend the day together connecting with families, providers, and community organizations while sharing resources and information about autism services and supports. It was wonderful to meet so many members of our community - even Elmo joined in our sensory walk challenge! ❤️

A special thank you to the Center for Autism Research at CHOP (CAR) and for the opportunity to participate in this event. We sincerely appreciate the work being done to advance autism research and create opportunities for families to contribute to studies that help improve outcomes for those we serve.

We are so excited to introduce two members of Aurora’s Related Services team!

Meet Alynna Green, Occupational Therapist, and Meaghan Ciliberto, Speech-Language Pathologist. Both Alynna and Meaghan have years of experience working with children and families, and we are so grateful for the impact they’ll bring to our multi-disciplinary model. Whether they’re helping a child find their voice, build confidence in their body, or learn new ways to navigate the world around them, Meaghan and Alynna are committed to creating therapy experiences that are both fun and purposeful.

“Where do I start?” is one of the most common questions we hear from families who have concerns about their child’s development. Through our conversations with caregivers, we know that understanding evaluations, school supports, insurance requirements, and therapy options can feel overwhelming.

While Aurora does not provide diagnostic evaluations internally, we created a free parent resource based on the questions, challenges, and barriers families have shared with us. Our goal is to help make these pathways easier to understand and give families a starting point as they navigate the process.

There’s nothing better than seeing learning happen through play 💛

At our sensory-friendly play date this past Tuesday, children explored, connected, and engaged in ways that felt natural to them, and that’s exactly what meaningful therapy should look like. These moments reflect the heart of approaches like the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based, child-led approach that builds relationships, communication, and developmental skills through everyday interactions. This is one of the methodologies we use at Aurora, and we’re so excited to celebrate Kate for recently completing advanced training in ESDM and continuing to bring these strategies into our work with families.

Because when therapy feels like play, children feel safe, motivated, and ready to learn. ✨ At Aurora, we believe in meeting each child where they are and growing from there.
