One of the most rewarding moments of my career as a caregiver is when my dear sister friend and I had to change out a patient’s regular bed for a hospital bed because the company that delivered the patient’s bed and equipment wouldn’t set up the bed. It may have been that the patient’s wife didn’t have time to do it before the patient was discharged or couldn’t do it by herself, I forgot,🤷🏾‍♀️. Howbeit, the family stayed in apartments with stairs, no elevator. We stayed til the patient was comfortable and his wife was content. Caregiving is ALWAYS going above and beyond!

Families are impressed with caregivers hands on involvement!

I had a staffer who would pull up a chair next to our client and do the same chair exercises along side of the client.
The staffer didn’t just tell the client to do the YouTube video while she just sat there and coached her through it. But she motivated the client by physically being involved. The client began to look forward to their work out activities because she had someone to do it with her. The family was extremely impressed!

The wisdom and knowledge of wittiness God gives mothers to create something out of nothing is really special, rather it be cornmeal & beans for a meal or construction paper and glue for last minute school projects. The world set this day aside to acknowledge you but you are celebrated everyday❣️
