To everyone who has reached out, I’m truly sorry for the delayed replies and for not being able to get you scheduled right now. I know many of you have been waiting, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding.
I didn’t want to make a public announcement, but recovery has taken longer than I expected. Since so many people have been checking in, I thought it would be easier and more helpful to share one update rather than leave anyone wondering.
At the end of August, I took a bad fall at the BMX track and crushed the navicular bone in my foot. I needed surgery, including a screw, a couple of pins, and an external fixator attached to the top of my foot to keep everything stable while it heals.
At the moment, I’m not able to drive or tattoo safely while taking pain medication. My foot also swells and becomes very painful if it isn’t elevated. Because I’m a one-man show, I also need to be physically able to properly clean, maintain, and run the shop before I can start booking appointments again.
I’m hoping to have the fixator removed around the first or second week of November and, depending on my healing and my doctor’s approval, return to tattooing around that time. Until then, I’m not scheduling appointments, but I’ll continue to share updates as I know more. Please know that I’m not ignoring messages—I’m just not in a position to commit to dates yet.
I miss being in the shop and creating tattoos for all of you, and I’m looking forward to getting back as soon as I can do so safely and properly. Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and continued support. It truly means more than I can say.
