I want to take a moment to speak openly and from the heart to all of my clients, supporters, and everyone who has been part of my journey.
At the end of March, I experienced an unexpected and deeply devastating loss—both of my grandparents passed away within the same week. My grandfather was more than a grandparent to me… he was a father figure, someone who helped shape who I am today. Losing them both so close together has been something I’m still learning to navigate.
In the midst of that loss, I was entrusted with helping handle their arrangements, their home, and their final wishes. It’s a responsibility I carry with a lot of love and honor, but also one that has required a great deal of my time, energy, and emotional strength.
Because of this, I am currently balancing life between Ohio and out of state for the foreseeable future as I continue to carry out what I’ve been trusted with.
Before I am a tattoo artist, I am their granddaughter. I am Angell.
At the same time, I am also a small business owner running a one-person studio, showing up for hundreds of clients who have trusted me with their ideas, their stories, and their skin. That balance hasn’t been easy...but I’ve been doing everything I can to hold both sides of my life together.
I want to sincerely thank those of you who have shown patience, kindness, and understanding during this time. The messages, the grace, the willingness to reschedule, and the support for both me and my business have meant more than I can fully put into words.
I also understand that for some, this is a service-based relationship—and that’s okay too. But I wanted to share this part of my life openly, because behind every appointment, every message, and every piece of art… there is a real person doing their best.
This has been one of the hardest chapters of my life, and I am still pushing forward, both for my family and for the business I’ve built.
