🎤 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…

Our AUGUST CHAMPION OF THE MONTH has been around the block a few times…

In fact, he just celebrated his 80TH BIRTHDAY!!! 🎂

But don’t let that number fool you.

Because while some people use age as a reason to slow down…

This man just keeps moving FORWARD.

Last year, at 79 YEARS YOUNG, he decided to take on a 5K…

AND FINISHED IT! 🏃‍♂️💨

Rain?

He’s there.

Cold?

He’s there.

Hot?

He’s there.

Motivation?

HE DOESN’T NEED IT.

Because this man is MR. CONSISTENCY.

And he’s got the receipts to prove it…

Nearly 900 SESSIONS under his belt at TSantosFit!

Nine. Hundred. Workouts.

That’s not a good month.

That’s not a New Year’s resolution.

That’s YEARS of showing up and taking care of yourself.

And at 80 years young, he’s still training, still challenging himself, and living his best life.

MAKE SOME NOISE…

For your…

AUGUST CHAMPION OF THE MONTH…

🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

🏆 RUUSSTTY 🔩 TANNORRRRR!!! 🏆

Russ, congratulations on 80 years young and nearly 900 workouts.

Keep showing up.

Keep moving.

And keep reminding the rest of us…

AGE DOESN’T GET THE FINAL SAY! 💪🔥

Most people think food is the problem.

It usually isn’t.

Food is often just the response.

The real question is...

What happened five minutes before you reached for the food?

Were you...

• Stressed?
• Lonely?
• Tired?
• Injured?
• Celebrating?
• Bored?
• Watching everyone else eat dessert?

If you never identify the trigger...

You’ll spend years trying to control the behavior.

But once you identify the trigger...

You can finally change the pattern.

Stop fighting food.

Start understanding yourself.

They had so much fun, they requested an encore.

These workouts go beyond sets and reps. We love incorporating partner exercises that require timing, trust, coordination, and communication.

They helped each other in and out of the bands for chin-ups, worked together on the ropes, and even jumped over one another.

These skills transfer directly to the field.

You probably don’t need another meal plan.

You probably already know you should eat more protein, drink more water, eat some fruits and vegetables, and stop eating when you’re full.

The problem is what happens after life happens.

You go out to dinner. You’re already stuffed…but ice cream sounds good.

You have one meal that wasn’t “on plan” and think:

“Well, I already screwed up.”

So one meal becomes the whole night.

Friday night becomes the whole weekend.

And Monday becomes another fresh start.

Or you’re doing great until your routine gets disrupted. You get stressed. Your body hurts. You miss a workout.

Suddenly food becomes comfort.

Then comes the guilt.

So you get strict again.

No bread.
No sweets.
No eating after 7.
Track everything.

The scale starts moving and you feel accomplished.

Until eventually you can’t maintain it anymore…and the cycle starts all over again.

That’s not a food knowledge problem.

It’s a pattern.

And you don’t break a pattern you’ve practiced for years by trying to become perfect overnight.

You start smaller.

Drink your water every day.

Eat a piece of fruit every day.

Take a 10-minute walk.

Have one meal that didn’t go according to plan and make the next meal a good one instead of waiting until Monday.

Stack enough of those little wins and something starts changing besides your weight.

You start trusting yourself.

You stop being the person who is constantly “starting over.”

You become someone who knows how to get herself back on track.

And THAT is the skill that eventually makes weight loss sustainable.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is becoming the kind of person who can have a bad meal, a bad day, or even a bad weekend…

without turning it into a bad month.

We had a few young lacrosse and soccer players join us today!

They came ready to play, but they worked just as hard. Strong effort and a lot of fun with these young athletes! 💪⚽️🥍

Huge shoutout to Lauren for getting her first chin-up!

She’s been working toward this for the past 4️⃣‼️ months, and one of our favorite parts of the process has been watching her get her kids involved.

In her words:

“My kids are obsessed with chin-ups now.”

Lauren was actually getting ready to shift her focus to a new goal. Then she grabbed the bar, pulled herself up, and suddenly found herself over it.

She looked at us and yelled, “Did that count?!”

It happened so quickly and unexpectedly that we were all a little shocked. 😂

So, for good measure, we agreed she had to do it again.

This time, the goal was clear: start from a complete dead hang. No jump start. No momentum. Just grab the bar, pause, and give it everything she had.

And she did it.

Four months of work showed up in one moment.

Congratulations, Lauren. That one definitely counted! When are we going for ✌️🤪

Your brain is constantly rewiring itself.

Every workout.
Every walk.
Every healthy meal.
Every early bedtime.

You’re not just changing your body.

You’re changing your brain.

Scientists call it neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to create and strengthen connections based on what you repeatedly do.

That’s why habits matter so much.

Every time you choose movement over sitting...
Protein over junk food...
An evening walk over the couch...

You’re casting a vote for the person you’re becoming.

Most people think fitness is about burning calories.

It’s bigger than that.

Exercise doesn’t just strengthen muscles.
It strengthens pathways.

The pathway that says:
“I keep promises to myself.”

The pathway that says:
“I can do hard things.”

The pathway that says:
“I don’t quit when motivation disappears.”

And just like a muscle, the pathways you use most become stronger.

The question isn’t:

“Can I change?”

The question is:

“What am I practicing every day?”

Because your body follows your habits.

And your habits reshape your brain.

Can a 40+ year old still pogo stick?

The answer is… YES.

Consider this your reminder to get out and play this weekend.

10 Ways to Be More Productive (Without Waking Up at 4 AM)

1. Plan tomorrow before today ends.
A 5-minute plan tonight can save 30 minutes of indecision tomorrow.
2. Stop checking your phone every 5 minutes.
Most notifications aren’t urgent. They’re distractions disguised as priorities.
3. Do the hardest thing first.
The task you’re avoiding is usually the one that creates the biggest payoff.
4. Move your body daily.
A 20-minute walk can improve focus better than another cup of coffee.
5. Focus on your Top 3.
If everything is important, nothing is important.
6. Learn to say “not right now.”
Every yes to something unimportant is a no to something that matters.
7. Stop multitasking.
Research consistently shows that doing one thing at a time is faster and produces better results.
8. Spend less time with complainers.
Negativity is contagious. So is optimism.
9. Schedule time for yourself.
If it’s not on your calendar, life will usually fill the space for you.
10. Go to bed earlier.
Most people don’t need another productivity hack. They need another hour of sleep.
