Thereâs a couch across from me that has quietly become one of the most meaningful places in my life.
Itâs where I sit with new mamasâsome walking in exhausted, some unsure, some overflowing with joy they didnât know theyâd feel so soon. Different backgrounds, different stories, different generations⌠but all of them carrying something tender and brand new.
From where I sit, I see it all.
The hard days that feel heavier than anyone expected. The moments of doubt that no one talks about enough. The quiet relief when something finally clicks. The tears that come from being overwhelmedâand the ones that come from finally feeling seen.
I get to be in the middle of it, not to fix it all, but to sit with it. To understand it. To remind someone theyâre not doing this alone. And to celebrate the wins that might seem small to the world, but feel huge in a mamaâs heart.
This work has changed me. Itâs softened me in ways I didnât know I needed, and itâs given me so much hopeâfor mothers, for babies, for the way support can truly change a beginning.
I donât take a single seat on that couch for granted.
