The big moment is here! Our Quilt Giveaway winner is..... Anne O'Neill! Congratulations Anne, one of our members will be in touch with you about picking up the quilt! Thanks to BCMC CEO/CFO Leslie Huitt for randomly selecting the name out of the people who bought tickets! We raised over $2,500!

Thanks to all our hospital auxiliary members who turned out en masse to support this celebration! Bradley County Medical Center had medical items from The Bradley County Historical Museum beautifully displayed today at the hospital in addition to items from the hospital’s collection for the 75th anniversary celebration. The hospital is donating everything pictured which is not currently in the museum collection to the Museum for display. Once the museum receives the hospital’s collection, the museum will incorporate the additional hospital items into its existing collection and revamp the medical room upstairs at the museum.

This wonderful old newspaper clipping is courtesy of Barbara Higgins. It pictures the Bradley County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in their new uniforms circa 1953. There are many familiar faces in this photograph who are no longer with us. Peggy Higgins, the longtime Dietary Director is pictured on the back row. The hospital celebrates its 75th anniversary today. It opened on June 11, 1951. The auxiliary has a long and valued history serving the hospital.

The BCMC Auxiliary Quilt Giveaway is coming up fast! The quilt will be given away next Thursday, June 11 at 3 p.m. as a part of the hospital's 75th Anniversary. You can still buy entries with one for $5 and three for $10. If you want to purchase entries please see an auxiliary member or come by the BCMC Auxiliary Thrift Store, which is open today until 1 p.m. and will be open next Wednesday from 9 am. to 1 p.m.
