Let's talk about medical billing.

Have you ever gone to a clinic, paid your copay, and then received a bill in the mail three months later for hundreds of dollars because of a "facility fee" or an out-of-network lab?

It's one of the most stressful parts of getting sick. At Midwest Healthcare, we believe that is fundamentally wrong. Whether you are a monthly member or just walking into our urgent care off the street, our pricing is 100% transparent.

A standard office visit is $75.A follow-up is $50. If you need labs, stitches, or an IV, we tell you exactly what it costs before we do it. No hidden fees, no surprise bills in the mail. You should be able to focus on getting better, not stressing about what it's going to cost.

We love seeing all the smiling (and slightly nervous) faces on our feeds this week. Back to school is such a big milestone for families, and we feel honored to be the healthcare home for so many of the kids in our community.

As the school year kicks off, here is a gentle reminder from your local medical team: the first few weeks of school are prime time for the spread of strep throat, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, and the first round of fall colds. If your child comes home with a sore throat, a fever, or a rash, don't wait it out too long — come see us!

Think about the last time you had a quick medical question. Maybe you had a weird rash, or you weren't sure if your child's fever warranted a visit.

In the traditional system, you have to call a front desk, leave a message for a nurse, and wait hours (or days) for a call back.

As a Direct Primary Care member at Midwest Healthcare, you just pull out your phone and text us. Seriously. Our members have direct access to our providers via text, phone, or email. Because we limit the number of patients we take on, we actually have the time to respond to you quickly. It's like having a doctor in the family.

We often think of gut health only in terms of digestion—bloating, stomach aches, etc. But medically speaking, your gut is your body's second brain. It houses about 70% of your immune system and produces the majority of your serotonin (the hormone that stabilizes your mood and sleep).

We want to talk about something that doesn't get enough airtime in a medical setting: the mental load of being a parent, a caregiver, or just a human being in 2026.

The back-to-school rush, the financial pressure of the fall season, the shorter days — it all adds up. And a lot of people are walking around completely burnt out but pushing through because they feel like they don't have a choice.

You do have a choice. You can ask for help.

At Midwest Healthcare, mental health is not a separate conversation from your physical health — it's part of the same one. We offer compassionate, judgment-free support for anxiety, depression, and burnout as part of our primary care services.

For one flat monthly rate of $300, two adults and up to two kids get unlimited office visits, direct access to our providers via text or phone, annual physicals, and even two sports physicals a year.
