🌻 SPECTACULAR SEPTEMBER IS HERE! 🌻

Learn • Cook • Connect • Nourish

Yesterday I told you I was back… and that I had some announcements coming.

So let's start here. ❤️

I was recently invited to share my story with Voyage Virginia Magazine, and the article was just published!

✨ Meet Natasha Frisk of Virginia ✨

I talk about my journey into wellness, how becoming a mother and raising a family shaped the way I think about nourishment, my evolution from fitness into holistic nutrition and herbal education, and why my work today is focused so deeply on women in midlife.

I also share something that has become incredibly important to me:

Wellness doesn't have to be complicated or perfect.

I don't believe women need another diet, another set of food rules, or another person telling them how they should “fix” themselves.

I believe we need education, practical skills, confidence, and a healthier relationship with nourishment.

And honestly, this article captures so much of why I'm doing what I'm doing now with Nourished in the Kitchen.

Nutrition education
Cooking
Herbs
Seasonal food
Movement
Community
And learning how to nourish ourselves through every season of life.

If you've been following me for a while, you'll recognize pieces of my story.

If you're new here, this is a wonderful place to start.

20-Minute Nourishing Clarity Call

Sometimes the hardest part of caring for yourself is simply knowing where to begin.
The Nourishing Clarity Call is a relaxed, 20-minute conversation designed to help you pause, reflect, and take an honest look at your current well-being.

Together, we'll explore where you are in this season of life, what's feeling out of balance, and how ready you are to truly nourish yourself—body, mind, and daily rhythms.
Whether you're navigating midlife changes, struggling to build consistent habits, or simply feeling disconnected from your health, this call is a space to gain clarity without judgment or pressure.

By the end of our conversation, you'll leave with a better understanding of your next steps and whether one of my programs or services is the right fit for your journey.

This call is about meeting you where you are and helping you move forward with confidence—one nourishing step at a time.

Perfect For Women Who Are:
Feeling overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice.

Ready to create sustainable habits instead of chasing another diet.

Navigating perimenopause or midlife changes.

Looking for a realistic, food-first approach to wellness.

Wanting guidance that honors their lifestyle, values, and season of life.

Duration: 20 minutes
Investment: Complimentary

💜 Walking into 44 with intention.

Yesterday was my birthday, and instead of making a list of things I need to change, I'm choosing to nourish what matters.

For the next 27 days, I'm beginning my Midsummer Nourishment Reset.
Not because my body needs fixing. Not because I'm chasing perfection.

Because I believe every season invites us to care for ourselves in a different way.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing simple recipes, seasonal foods, herbs, movement, and the small daily practices that help us feel grounded, nourished, and connected to our bodies.

If you've been feeling like you need a fresh start, I'd love for you to join me.

And if you're not sure where to begin, I'm also opening a few Nourishing Clarity Calls—a one-on-one conversation where we'll talk about where you are, what's getting in your way, and what simple next steps can help you move forward with confidence.
This isn't about doing more.

It's about nourishing yourself a little better, one day at a time.

44.

This Sunday I'll celebrate another trip around the sun, and instead of thinking about getting older, I've been thinking about becoming wiser.

When I was growing up, there were so many conversations about womanhood that I never heard. We didn't really talk about changing hormones, nourishment, stress, rest, or what happens as we move through different seasons of life.

Over the years, I've learned through education, books, podcasts, my own experiences, and listening to other women. And now, one of the greatest gifts I can give my daughter—and hopefully other women—is to keep those conversations going.

If you're in your 40s, 50s, or beyond and sometimes feel like you're figuring things out as you go, you're not alone. None of us have to have it all figured out. We can learn together, ask questions, and support one another with grace instead of perfection.
As I step into 44, that's exactly what I'm choosing.

If you're looking for a community where we talk honestly about midlife, nourishment, seasonal living, and learning to care for ourselves in realistic ways, I'd love to invite you into Nourished in the Kitchen.

I'm currently offering a complimentary 5-day guest pass so you can experience our community and see if it feels like home.
Send me NOURISH and I'll send you the details.

Here's to another year of learning, growing, and becoming the women we needed when we were younger.

Recently, I've had the opportunity to work with more women in midlife who are learning to navigate a thyroid condition.
One thing I've noticed is that many women leave their appointments with lots of questions about food.

"What should I eat?" "Do I need to avoid gluten?" "What about dairy?" "How can I support my energy?"
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
The first thing I want you to know is that nutrition isn't about finding one magic food or eliminating everything you enjoy. It's about nourishing your body in a way that supports your overall health.

For some women with autoimmune thyroid conditions like Hashimoto's thyroiditis, their healthcare provider may recommend trying an elimination diet to see if foods like gluten or dairy contribute to digestive discomfort or inflammation. Since every woman is different, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach.

So today, instead of focusing on what to remove, let's focus on what we can add.
✔️ Quality protein to support muscle health and energy.

✔️ Selenium-rich foods like seafood, eggs, and Brazil nuts, which help support normal thyroid function.

✔️ Zinc-rich foods like pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, and lean meats.

✔️Plenty of colorful vegetables and fruits to provide antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

One of the simplest things you can do is build a balanced plate with protein, colorful vegetables, healthy fats, and fiber-rich carbohydrates.

Midlife isn't about perfection.
It's about learning to nourish your body one meal at a time.

💜 I'd love to hear from you. What's one nutrition question you've been wanting answered in midlife? Drop it in the comments I just might cover it in an upcoming Teach Me Thursday

If you looked at this picture, you'd probably never know what kind of day I'm having.

You wouldn't know that I'm in the middle of a really heavy cycle.

You wouldn't know that I barely slept last night, that I've been nauseous, exhausted, and honestly just trying to make it through the day.
But here I am...smiling.

And I know I'm not the only woman who's ever done that.
The closer I get to my mid-40s, the more I'm realizing this season of life is different.

My body is changing. The things that worked for me years ago don't always work now. Instead of getting frustrated with it, I'm trying to get curious.
I'm asking myself...

What is my body trying to tell me?
What foods will truly nourish me right now?
How do I recover after a heavy cycle instead of just pushing through it?

Today, I'm choosing to give myself a little extra grace.

I'll be eating nourishing meals, drinking my herbal infusions, resting when I need to, and listening to what my body is asking for instead of ignoring it.

Sitting here today, I couldn't help but wonder how many other women are doing the exact same thing—showing up for work, taking care of their families, smiling through the day...while quietly navigating a body that feels different than it used to.

If that's you, I just want you to know you're not alone.
I'd love to hear from you.

What has your body been teaching you lately?

Let's have a real conversation about this season of life. No judgment. No pretending. Just women supporting women and learning together.

💜Natasha
