Today is a hard day for all of us who love Israel, but Eden's story of resilience gives us hope that our work is bringing on better days for Israelis and all of Israel.
Three years ago, Eden went to the Nova Music Festival expecting a night of music, friendship and freedom.
By morning, she was running for her life.
Eden survived October 7th, but she lost close friends and emerged carrying trauma that would change her life.
In the months that followed, she made a choice: to turn her survival into purpose. Together with a friend, she founded an organization dedicated to helping other October 7th survivors heal and find their voices.
“It would have been easy to go to the sad and dark side after the attack. But I choose to go toward the light and the hope. I want to help people heal.”
As Eden worked through her own trauma, she reached out to the Israel Guide Dog Center for help.
Today, her PTSD Service Dog, Kobly, is by her side—giving her comfort, security and the strength to face each day. Little by little, Eden is finding her way forward.
On this October 7th, we remember all those who were lost, honour those whose lives were forever changed, and remain committed to helping Israelis like Eden rebuild their lives.
Together, we will continue to bring independence, healing, comfort and hope to the people of Israel.
One person. One dog. One life changed at a time.
