Leaving corporate healthcare was a big, scary decision—one I never thought I’d have the confidence to make.

In traditional health systems, a single provider is often responsible for well over 1,000 patients. Even in clinical leadership at a tech startup—where I spent half my time supporting a provider team and clinical operations—I was still responsible for about 800. In standard direct care clinics, that number is usually around 500 to 800.

At Flourish, I am capping my practice at 200 patients.👸🏼

I don't want to lose focus on why I became a nurse in the first place—watching my mom care for patients in oncology infusion, and my time as a teen hospital volunteer. Back then, I literally had all day to spend with patients...and I did.

I’m no longer a 14 year old candy striper (I've grown a lot in 20 years) but I still believe that unhurried time together is invaluable. I’m always challenging myself to stay open-minded, keep learning, and share that knowledge with the people I care for.

Keeping Flourish small is intentional—it ensures you get the personal care you deserve. Because of this, space in the practice is naturally limited.
