We’re proud to celebrate a major achievement—Dr. Jonathan Tueting has successfully completed the 100th TOUCH® CMC 1 Prosthesis case in the United States. 👏

Patient 100, Greg Nizich, underwent a right thumb carpometacarpal joint replacement arthroplasty—marking a significant step forward in advancing treatment options for patients living with thumb arthritis.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Tueting and his outstanding team at Rush Copley Medical Center for their clinical expertise and continued commitment to innovation in patient care.

Congratulations to Dr. Marc Tetro and his team on completing the first TOUCH® CMC 1 Prosthesis cases in Buffalo, NY—a strong step forward in advancing thumb CMC solutions and patient outcomes.

Appreciation as well to Nick Bordonaro(My Rep Plus) and Kyle Auch (Medartis USA) for being in the OR to support these cases.

Fitting that this milestone happened in Buffalo—a city with a proud history of innovation dating back to its industrial roots, set along Lake Erie and just miles from Niagara Falls. 🚨 Big milestone alert for TOUCH® CMC 1 Prosthesis in the U.S.! 🚨​

KeriMedical (Medartis Group) has officially launched its first U.S. clinical study—and we’re proud to share that the first patient was successfully enrolled on March 23 at Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center (OrthoIndy) in Indianapolis. 👏​

A huge congratulations to Dr. F Thomas D Kaplan and Dr. Brandon Smetana for leading the way on this important work!​

​This study marks the beginning of a 163-patient post-approval commitment to the FDA, helping us better understand outcomes like pain reduction and functional improvement over time. More importantly, it represents a meaningful step forward for patients living with thumb arthritis—bringing us closer to redefining treatment options in the U.S.​

​💬 As Dr. Kaplan put it: this research has the potential to create a “paradigm shift” in how we treat CMC arthritis—similar to the evolution we saw with joint replacement in other areas.​
