The full Harvest moon peaks on Saturday, September 26, 2026. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the name comes from the bright moonlight it provides. The extra moon light historically allowed farmers to work late into the night to gather their crops before the arrival of autumn frost. Which shoukd be coming the first week or two of October!

Significance for this moon is gratitude and reflection on the months past. The Harvest Moon symbolizes completion, gratitude, and a transition into the darker months of the year. Encouraging self-prioritization, personal reflection on the past year's efforts, and the release of outdated commitments or habits.
What does not serve you, release it!

The Autumn Equinox is coming!
Tuesday, September 22, 2026 7:04 p.m. CDT
It marks the official start of astronomical autumn. A simple pause to celebrate balance, express gratitude, and release what you no longer need.

Simple Equinox Rituals -
Balance Candle Lighting: Light one white candle (representing light) and one black or deep orange candle (representing dark) at sunset to honor the exact equilibrium of the season.
The Apple Star Insight: Cut an apple horizontally across its equator. The core reveals a natural five-pointed star, reminding you that magic is present in everyday things. Eat the apple with gratitude for the earth's harvest.
Autumn Simmer Pot: Fill a small pot with water, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange slices. Simmer it on your stove to fill your home with the warm, protective energy of abundance and the changing season.
Release & Let Go: Write down habits, stressors, or old energies you want to leave behind on a small piece of paper, then safely burn it in a fireproof dish or bury it in the earth.

We are having some beautiful local corn for supper with BBQ chicken...husband comes in and laughs cause I am saving the corn silk!
Corn silk acts as a mild "water pill" to increase urine output and flush out excess fluid. Soothes and protects the urinary tract and bladder, helping clear out bacteria during infections. It also may help stimulate insulin production and lower blood sugar levels. It also helps calm swelling and irritation in tissues, joints, and the urinary system. Ill dry the silk and will make a tea with it coming this fall! Mother Nature provides so much beautiful healing support.💚💚

Get your strawberry 🍓 moon vibes on tonight. Fill a pitcher or jar with water set it out!
A Time of Culmination: Full moons are associated with release and culmination . The Strawberry Moon encourages you to look back at the goals you set earlier in the year and celebrate your progress.
Emotional Clarity: It invites you to set down emotional weights, release what no longer serves you, and romanticize your life.
Capricorn Grounding: Astrologically, this full moon lands in practical, earth-bound Capricorn. While it is currently Cancer season (which is emotional and inward), the Capricorn moon gives it a no-nonsense edge that inspires you to stop wishing for your goals and actively build them.
