Let me tell you what I actually do.💆🏽‍♀️

The work I do focuses on how the body holds memory, experience, and emotion — and helping it release at a somatic level.

What does that mean?🧐

Your nervous system is always taking notes. Every stressful season, every loss, every moment you had to hold it together — your body logged it. Not just emotionally. Physically. In the way you breathe, the way you brace, the way certain spots never seem to fully let go no matter how many massages you get.

That’s what we’re working with.

Depending on where you are and what you need, a session might look like: Hands-on bodywork — deep tissue, ashiatsu, Thai stretching, cupping — used not just to release muscle tension but to help your nervous system feel safe enough to let go of what it’s been holding.

Or energy work — a gentler, Reiki-based session for when your body needs to settle before it can open.

Or both, combined.

Every session starts with a real conversation. Where are you? What are you carrying? What does your body actually need today?

Because this isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about giving your body the conditions it needs to release what it’s been holding on your behalf.

New clients start with an intro session. We go from there. 🤍

I’m going to tell you how this place actually came to exist👀

In 2020 I opened my first studio. Invested everything. Every penny, every card, every ounce of belief I had.

Then Covid hit. And it didn’t work out.

I had to close, pick up other work, and spend the next couple of years digging myself out of the financial hole that dream left behind. That was humbling in ways I’m still processing.
I ended up in sales. Then I found a job that blended massage and sales together — and for a while, the money was good.

But I was giving massages in a draining and toxic environment.

And I realized pretty quickly — most people there weren’t trying to heal. They weren’t looking for what I had to offer. I felt like another form of escape. Another vice. They weren’t taking the depth of this work seriously, and I could feel it.

Every shift I clocked in, something in me braced.

Then one day my mom asked me to meet her at an old building in a transitioning neighborhood in DC, and told me she was turning it into a wellness center.

I was skeptical. Exhausted. Scared to fail again.

But I couldn’t help but see it.

As each room was transformed, each wall was painted and each brick was laid — I felt something wake back up in me.

As the excitement grew, the misalignment with my job grew faster, and louder.

Eventually, they fired me.😅

And, honestly? I felt relief.

And so The Zen Den was reawakened. And bigger than that — the Wellness Oasis on Kennedy was born.

It has been hard. I’ve yelled. I’ve cried. I’ve felt powerless and overwhelmed and completely drained. And somehow we keep showing up.

We’re not trying to do this fast. We’re not trying to do this big.
We’re doing it slow. Intentional. Authentic. True to our roots.
And every single day we’re learning how to build something healing — in a way that doesn’t break us in the process.
Thank you to my mom for seeing it first. ❤️

The Wellness Oasis on Kennedy is more than just a wellness center. It’s a familial legacy.

This is The Zen Den🌱

Located inside the Wellness Oasis on Kennedy — in the middle of the city, but somehow outside of it entirely.

People walk in and something shifts. The pace slows. The noise fades. There’s this quiet moment of — wait, where are we?🧐

That feeling is intentional.

I grew up in Jamaica, where slowness isn’t laziness — it’s wisdom. Where you learn to hear the birds louder than the engines. Where rain doesn’t interrupt your day, it soothes it. Where nature isn’t something you visit, it’s something you live inside of.

I carried that with me into this space.

The plants. The candlelight. The warmth. All of it is an invitation — to drop in, to slow down, to remember that your body is not a machine that needs fixing.

It’s a living thing that needs tending.💆🏽‍♀️

This space exists because I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to actually arrive somewhere. So before anything else — that’s what we built.

A place worth arriving to. 🌿🤍

Since we’re getting reacquainted — here’s who I actually am.

I’m Jamaican, born with a love for slowness that the world has spent years trying to rush out of me.

I travel every chance I get — chasing new places, new food, new air. I’m working my way through all 50 states, and one day I’m moving to Costa Rica. That’s not a dream, that’s a plan😉

I watch birds. I cook like it’s a love language. I color. I have a dog, a cat, and a snake on the way 🐍. I went to arts school and music never really left me — it just moved to my living room (and my car, my shower, the ears of random passerby’s in the grocery store…) and the pole studio.

I’m emotional and intuitive. Sometimes too loud. Sometimes too slow. I laugh at the wrong moments and I don’t always get it right — but I’m always, always learning.

What grounds me most is anything that brings me back into my body. Food. Movement. Music. Animals. The feeling of being somewhere completely new.

I think that’s actually why I do this work.

Because in a world that moves this fast and asks this much of us — I just want to be a moment of calm. For myself, and for whoever needs it.

I want to remember my humanness. And help you remember yours. 🤍

It’s been a while. And honestly… so much has changed.

I’ve been doing a lot of quiet work these past few years. On my practice, yes — but also on myself.

Deepening. Unlearning. Integrating (aka practicing what I preach).

A few years ago I came face to face with someone from my past. I’d done the work. I thought I was good.
But the moment I saw them — fight or flight. Immediately. Like no time had passed.

And afterward I sat with that. Really sat with it.

Because it wasn’t just an emotional reaction — my body had its own pattern running. Its own memory. Like my nervous system had been quietly rehearsing that response for years, completely separate from anything my mind had processed or healed.

That was humbling. And it changed everything about how I show up for my clients.

I started paying closer attention — not just to where they were holding tension, but to what their body might be rehearsing. What it had learned to brace for.

Because tension doesn’t always come from how you slept or how you sit at your desk.
Sometimes it’s grief. Fear. Years of bracing.

What I offer now — deep tissue, ashiatsu, Thai massage, cupping, energy work — it’s all in service of one thing: helping your nervous system feel safe enough to actually let go.

Less forcing. More allowing.

If you’re in DC and your body feels like it’s been holding more than it should —
I got you. 🤍

It’s always so amazing hearing from my clients and learning how our work together has helped to facilitate growth in their lives.

Coaching will always be my first love. It’s something I’ve had an affinity for for as long as I can remember, and my life has been a journey of fine tuning the skills associated with this kind of work.

I am in the process of working on a new framework for my coaching sessions. Sooo excited to share what I’ve been working on🥳 I am taking the process slow, and in flow, but you’ll know when it’s ready☺️

Ok so… confession. I’m terrible at keeping up with social media😩

If you know me or follow my personal page, this isn’t much of a surprise. And honestly, I don’t care to keep people updated on my personal life. But it’s such a great tool to share knowledge and my work.
All that to say… I have stuff to share with y’all! So I am going to continue to step outside of my comfort zone, and begin posting more on this page.

I haven’t been posting, but I’ve been working😁 The feedback and work speaks for itself. And I age like fine wine baby, it’s only up from here🥳

Welcome to 🌞The Zen Den Wellness Spa. Here, I specialize in Massage Therapy, Life Coaching, and Chakra Balancing. With these modalities, I am able to touch on each pillar of wellness: mind, body, and spirit.

It has been quite a journey getting to this point. I didn’t realize how true the phrase “blood, sweat, and tears” is until the creation of this studio.... but now I understand😅 (joyfully so).
I’ve been nurturing and building towards this for years and it has finally manifested! So I present to you, my child! My baby 👶🏽

And HOW CUTE IS SHE😍 she’s giving very boho/retro/minimalist vibes.

I am so excited to share this space and my passion for healing with you, while also cultivating a community of wellness.

Soon, I will share the full vision with you all. But for now....

Meet the CEO and your future practitioner... Me😂

My name is Ceimone, and I am a holistic health and wellness practitioner located in DC.

I (like most who seek healing) had various life experiences which left me feeling blocked; I felt disempowered, fearful, disconnected from myself, and anxious for the future. Not knowing what to do, I turned to different forms of healing to reconnect with my authentic self and heal past trauma.

I have tried so many things! From massage therapy, psychotherapy, and life coaching... to herbology, astrology, numerology, energy healing, and psychedelics... The list goes on.

Through these modalities, I have been able to connect with what fulfills me on a soul level and what values drive me in life. With this, I have created a foundation which has helped me solidify my sense of self, and the way I want to show up in life. Instead of facing challenges with fear, I now face them with empowerment; I have the ability to channel the chaos of life into something meaningful. And with this I have become the “author”-ity of self, and my reality.

I have also established better self care practices, more emotional stability, more stability within my relationships, and the confidence to achieve my wildest dreams.

Once I saw the magic of this work, I made it my mission to spread the word to those who also crave personal transformation... and The Zen Den was born! I am excited to connect, empower, and grow as a community!🥰
