Holding these two books in my hands feels so surreal. Motherhood Unscripted and The Motherhood Soul Archetype Map are no longer just ideas, dreams, or words on my computer. They’re REAL!

These are my first proof copies, so we’re still putting on the finishing touches, but BABY… this moment deserves to be celebrated!

A whole lot of healing, growth, late nights, courage, and love went into these pages.

I’m proud of me. I’m grateful for the journey. And I’m just getting started. ✨

As I prepare to turn 44 next Sunday, I find myself pausing to give thanks.

My business is taking shape. My book is preparing to meet the world. The studio doors will soon open. My son is in school, discovering a little world of his own. And my marriage is blossoming into a deeper friendship as we learn who we are becoming, together.

There is so much beginning. Beneath it all, I feel gratitude.

For the ordinary mornings that hold this extraordinary life. For the people who have loved me through change. For this body that has carried me through every season. For the courage to keep creating a life that feels like home.

As a wellness practitioner, I spend so much time holding space for others. I am learning to offer myself that same tenderness. To let joy settle in my body. To enjoy a good moment without immediately reaching for the next one.

Looking at these pictures, I see a woman I am still getting to know. Her softness. Her strength. Her willingness to be seen. I am thankful for her, and for everything she has carried to arrive here.

My intention for this next year is to move with presence. To love with attention. To build with purpose. To make room for rest alongside ambition, and gratitude alongside growth.

May what I create give others room to breathe. May I stay present enough to enjoy what is unfolding.

And in these days before another year begins, may I pause long enough to say: thank you.

Mama, does your little one dance in the kitchen, twirl down the grocery aisle, or turn every song into a show? Then I made something for them.

Hi! I'm Nyla, a DC mom, and dance has been my whole life. I started at three, went to Duke Ellington School of the Arts right here in DC, trained with Alvin Ailey and at Jacob's Pillow, and performed at the Kennedy Center. I've taught every age, but my heart has always been with the littlest ones. They move with no fear, and watching them light up is everything.

So I built Little Legends for our kids, ages 3 to 5, and it's so much more than dance. It's an experience. One week they're ballerinas in a storybook world, finishing class with a little tea party. The next they're superheroes on a movement mission, astronauts moonwalking through space, or explorers following a treasure map. There's dress up, music, props and dance parties, with real ballet and jazz woven into every bit of it.

Along the way they build confidence, listening skills, coordination, friendships and that proud "I did it!" feeling we all want for them. Classes are small and warm, 15 dancers or fewer, the kind of class I'd want for my own little one.

Moms we can still find ways to take care of ourselves. Haven’t been to a salon in 3 yrs since my son was born and my hair is pass my ass. Watch
