A street medicine organization providing equitable health care to unsheltered individuals in DC

Street Health DC is a street medicine program that brings medical care and support directly to people who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness. We provide accessible medical care with the ultimate aim of improving the health and well-being of these individuals and the community as a whole. Through a harm-reduction approach and collaboration with other community organizations, we provide medical treatment and resources, referrals to other healthcare services, and support for social and environmental needs. Street Health DC provides care in a respectful, compassionate, and non-judgmental manner, and works to advocate for policy and systemic changes that will improve access to healthcare and affordable housing in our community.

So excited to celebrate Brooke as she gets ready for her next adventure! 🌴

Brooke has been an incredible Street Health DC volunteer for the past couple of years and has played a huge role in helping us grow and build out our work. Next week, she heads to Miami to begin her first year of PA school, and we could not be prouder.

We expect big things from you, Brooke! Miami is lucky to have you, and you’ll always be part of the Street Health DC family. ❤️

At this week's Thrive Women's Group, we reflected on the people who bring beauty into our lives and our community. Everyone created a bouquet to give to someone they appreciate, and together we made a shared community bouquet for the Thrive office—a reminder that every person adds something meaningful.
