Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease

It is a common, contagious viral illness mostly affecting children under 5. It causes a mild fever, painful mouth sores, and a blister-like rash on the hands, feet, and buttocks. Most kids recover fully on their own within 7 to 10 days with supportive home care.
