I’ve always been sensitive. To everything.
To the energy in a room. To someone’s tone of voice. To noise, tension, and the things left unspoken.
For a long time, sensitivity has been treated as a weakness—as though feeling less would somehow make us stronger. But over time, I’ve come to recognize its value.
Sensitive people often notice what others may miss. We feel deeply, sense subtle shifts, and experience the world through a different lens. That can be overwhelming, especially when we haven’t learned how to care for ourselves.
I’m learning that honoring my sensitivity means listening to it while also giving myself what I need: space, rest, boundaries, and time to make sense of what I’m feeling.
There’s value in being open to the world. There’s also value in knowing when to step back.
Maybe part of embracing your sensitivity is getting curious about what it’s showing you—and learning how to respond with care.
