How can you lay the groundwork for compersion in a relationship where one person is monogamous and another is polyamorous?

Compersion is the feeling of happiness that can come from seeing a non-monogamous partner excited about another romantic partner or play partner.

Happy Pride Month!

LGBTQ+ Pride Month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal moment of the LGBTQ+ rights movement in the United States. June has become a time to reflect on both our history and the continuation of our struggles. While we dance together in the streets, we fill our souls with the strength to carry on despite hate.

The Pincus Center specializes in supporting LGBTQ+ people. Our therapists and coaches are here for you all year long 🌈

We owe pride to trans women. We owe pride to our LGBTQ+ elders and ancestors. We owe pride to all who put their lives on the line for q***r liberation.

At PFLAG National, we proudly take up the mantle of those who fought before us, and lead with love in pursuit of an accepting, affirming, and equitable world for our LGBTQ+ loved ones.

Happy Pride.🏳️‍🌈🔥

Every year, someone asks why Pride is still necessary.

The answer is simple:

Pride is important because not everyone is safe being themselves.

Pride is important because some LGBTQ+ people still face rejection, isolation, discrimination, and fear because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Pride is important because a young person may be searching for hope, a parent may be learning how to support their child, and someone may be hearing words of acceptance for the very first time.

Until every LGBTQ+ person can live as their true self without hesitation or fear …

Pride is important. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

With Masturb@tion May coming to an end soon, we wanted to be sure you keep the love going. Here are some tips for preparing for a self-love session:

Context: Be mindful of the context that got you into the mood! Be aware of it and keep it in the back of your mind for the future. Many people need the right context to get their sexual desire to come online: low stress and erotic sensation, like touch, visual or auditory.

Environment: Make the environment yummy for you! How can you engage the five sense? Lights on? Shades on the windows up or down? Light a candle or incense? Soft blanket? Adjust the temperature? Make it most comfy for you.

Body Adornment: How will you adorn your body during this session? Sensual lingerie? Under the clothes you are wearing? Would it feel nice to put some jewelry on or pull out those crotchless stockings you haven't worn yet?

Imagination: Will a fantasy be guiding you for this session? Will you be thinking about a time when you experienced the best pleasure or when you were providing pleasure to a lover? Will you spend some time listening or reading some erotica? It's okay to use your imagination! It's always worth talking with your partner but many folks have fantasies that involve others than their partners. Thoughts are not behaviors.

Whole Body: Do you need to show some love to your whole body by using a body oil? Folks find involving the whole body in their session helps them find areas they never knew would be an erogenous zone for them. Play with pressure from the head to the toes. Breathe and focus on the sensation between your hands and skin.

L**e: Dry? Slippy-slidey? Tingling? Silicone? Waterbased? Hybrid? Find a texture you like and if you find yourself irritated after using l**e, check the ingrdients.

Toys: Switch things up from hands to toys. So many toys are available. It may take a bit to find a body-safe toy, so do your research. If you need more support, check out our empowerment classes.

Cleanup: Nothing is worse than not having a clean toy to use when you want to use it. Clean up yourself and the items you were using. A mild soap or a toy cleaner will do the job and be sure to scrub nooks and crannies. Use body wipes or grab a shower to clean yourself up.

Aftercare: Melt into the feeling. Thank yourself for taking the time. Take a few deep breathes. Provide yourself with a loving caress or hug.
