GSMSG delivers advanced Prolonged Field Care (PFC), Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC), and austere surgical training for select U.S. and partner-force units operating where conventional medical systems, evacuation timelines, and infrastructure cannot be assumed.

Training is built for the realities of irregular warfare and resource-constrained environments, including prolonged resuscitation, critical care, damage-control surgery, casualty holding, and clinical decision-making when evacuation is delayed or uncertain.

Our programs are taught by experienced physicians, trauma surgeons, critical-care clinicians, SOF medical professionals, and internationally recognized subject-matter experts including clinicians helping write and shape the guidelines used in these environments.

New Publication - Robotic telesurgery has the potential to fundamentally change how surgical capability is projected into denied, contested, and resource-limited environments.

Our latest publication examines the operational, technical, and human factors required to transition robotic telesurgery from a laboratory demonstration to a deployable capability. Future applications include prolonged field care, maritime operations, disaster response, remote humanitarian missions, and ultimately human space exploration.

While significant challenges remain, including communications latency, cybersecurity, system reliability, and logistics; the trajectory is clear: the ability to project expert surgical capability without physically projecting the surgeon has profound implications for both military and civilian medicine.

The operating room of the future may not be in a hospital. It may be aboard an aircraft, on a ship, in a remote forward operating location, or one day, beyond Earth.

Everyone suddenly became an infectious disease expert after the fact.
Some of us didn’t have that luxury.
Dozens of GSMSG / veteran physicians, nurses, CRNAs, medics, and respiratory therapists left our homes and surged into hospitals across New York at the height of the COVID pandemic.
We worked in hospitals where people were dying around us every few minutes. Morgues overflowed and Hallways became makeshift holding areas. Ventilator alarms never stopped. Over the course of the pandemic We each looked dozens of patients in the eyes while they literally begged with what breath was left in their lungs, “Please don’t let me die,” as we prepared to intubate them knowing the odds were brutally against them. We held the hands of complete strangers as they fought for every breath through lungs that were rapidly failing.
Then we came back the next day. With or without the proper PPE.
And the next.
For months.
So before you spend your day screaming that Dr. Fauci is the villain in some brain rot internet fantasy, remember this: the physicians and scientists making recommendations were trying to navigate a once-in-a-century pandemic with incomplete and constantly changing information. They got some things wrong. They also helped drive an unprecedented scientific response that produced vaccines and treatments which saved countless lives.

You can criticize specific decisions. That’s fair. Science should be questioned. But pretending the entire pandemic was a hoax, or reducing it to memes and political slogans, is an insult to every healthcare worker who stood in those ICUs and every family who never got to say goodbye.

We were there. We remember.
