LDL-C quality measurement should go beyond whether treatment was prescribed.

The proposed measure would assess LDL-C monitoring and management by determining whether adults with clinical atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) received an LDL-C test and achieved a level below 70 mg/dL on their most recent test during the measurement period.

Help strengthen accountability for LDL-C care.

Organizations can add their names to the National Lipid Association’s sign-on letter by Aug. 24. Individuals and organizations can also submit original comments to CMS through Sept. 14.
