📢 Now open for public comment: The 2026 SCAI/HRS Focused Update of the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Transcatheter Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion.

The update reexamines evidence comparing LAAO and oral anticoagulation for stroke prevention in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation following publication of the OPTION, CHAMPION-AF, and CLOSURE-AF trials.

The cardiovascular community is invited to review the draft guidelines and data supplement and provide feedback before final publication.
