AVMLA’s 32nd Annual Continuing Education Program & Annual Meeting continues this morning with an important discussion:

Predatory Practice-Ownership Models: How Associates Become Sharecroppers

What does a “sharecropper” deal look like in veterinary practice ownership?

Today’s session is examining the history behind these arrangements, the legal framework of Bailey v. Alabama, and the modern equity traps that can affect associates pursuing practice ownership.

These are the kinds of complex, real-world issues that make AVMLA’s programming so valuable to veterinary professionals and the attorneys, regulators, and other professionals who serve them.

The conversation is underway in Nashville.
