Today, we recognize and honor Juneteenth a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates Black freedom, resilience, culture, and achievement.

Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reminder of the ongoing work toward equity and justice. It offers an opportunity to learn from history, listen to Black voices, and reflect on the ways we can contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Mental health does not exist in a vacuum. Historical and present day inequities can have profound effects on emotional well being, access to care, and opportunities for healing. Acknowledging these realities is an important part of supporting mental health for all.

Today, we encourage reflection, education, celebration, and meaningful action. We are grateful for the contributions, leadership, and voices of Black individuals in our communities and within the mental health field.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth.

You spend so much time holding everything together for everyone else. But who holds space for you?

This small, closed therapeutic group is designed for women navigating emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, overfunctioning, and the invisible weight of constantly caring for others. Together, weโ€™ll create a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and restore emotionally in community with women who truly understand.

This is not about โ€œdoing more.โ€
Itโ€™s about learning how to breathe again, set down the weight, and care for yourself with the same compassion you give to everyone else.

โœจ Small group setting
โœจ Supportive therapeutic environment
โœจ Connection, reflection, and restoration
โœจ A space where you donโ€™t have to carry it all alone

You deserve support too.

Chronic stress can lead to serious mental and physical health problems. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Since 1992, April has served as National Stress Awareness Month. Yet, despite decades of awareness, many men still treat stress as a badge of honor or an unavoidable side effect of success. Society often conditions men to swallow pressure and push forward. But white-knuckling your way through life h...

Ditch the guilt of broken resolutions this year! Dr. Gregory Jones suggests a new approach for 2026: switch from "resolutions" to "solutions." Instead of overwhelming goals like "get fit," focus on small, actionable stepsโ€”like a 20-minute daily walk.

This year, Dr. Gregory Jones, psychologist and director of the Capital Center for Psychotherapy and Wellness, suggests a different approach. Instead of making heavy, intimidating resolutions, try focusing on simple, actionable solutions.
