In 2024, 65% of all HIV diagnoses, approximately 25,000 individuals, were attributed to male-to-male s*xual contact. Gay, bis*xual and other men who have s*x with men continue to face barriers, including homophobia, racism, transphobia, stigma and other social determinants of health, when accessing HIV prevention, care and treatment.

The United States of Care recently announced the launch of a two-year longitudinal research study related to Medicaid work requirements under H.R. 1. The study will document the impacts of Medicaid work requirements, especially on people with chronic conditions, including HIV. It aims to understand Medicaid enrollees' experiences and pain points navigating Medicaid work requirements leading up to and through implementation.

Recruitment is now open and they are calling for Medicaid enrollee participants to join the study from these 5 states: Idaho
Missouri
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
West Virginia

Policy Summit (HHPS) in Washington, D.C. from January 26-27, 2027!

Presented by the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, HHPS is focused on bringing together Latinx-focused organizations to transform healthcare policy, accelerate the pace of research, and propose potential solutions to health care issues affecting the Hispanic population. Attendees will engage in educational sessions, coaching opportunities, and meetings on the Hill with local government representatives.
