Gem/Carbo number 2 (total chemo #41!!!) with these amazing, inspiring, badass mamas and friends Kara Leigh and Kristin Swenson Pillay whose soothing therapist voices lulled me into an IV Benny rest (they really deserve a podcast). It was so great catching up! And, you may have noticed a third bombshell has entered the villa! Thank you for the addition to my royal entourage!!

Successful apheresis today! It was a bit more intense than I expected (they cycled all blood out and back in my body THREE times - I couldn’t really move for over 4 hours) but look at all of those beautiful harvested cells. 🩸 Now let’s hope they can be put the work 🤞 Beyonce, Dolly and Tim (on the blanket) were all a HUGE hit! I also had the best nurses possible - so kind and attentive and fun to talk to. And thanks to Gmoe and Doo for what I imagine was pretty boring for them LOL.

Happy update for the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness month! I will be undergoing apheresis on Tuesday - right before starting my next line of chemo (gem/carbo). The hope is they can engineer T cells for me through blood only based on my TP53 mutation. If I am a candidate I will have a choice to make - but it will not disqualify me from TILs in the future! I am so lucky to be so close to NIH. Their research is so important.

We broke the 2 visitor policy today 😂. Dolly Parton was especially appreciated by the nurses today - my first visit since her passing. Thank you Abby Bonder Bluestone and Cassie Pergament for coming with me to Enhertu #7! It was so nice to catch up - love you both!! Also got some Zometa today - we moved it to a 3 month schedule given my deep response to my first few treatments.
