I used to think if I could just be more disciplined, everything would fall into place.
More willpower. Earlier mornings. Tighter schedules. Better habits.
So I pushed harder. And harder. And harder still.
Until I realized the problem was never discipline. It was a depleted system trying to perform at full capacity with nothing left in the tank.
You can't discipline your way out of burnout. You can't hustle your way back to yourself. Because performance isn't a mindset problem it's a systems problem. And no amount of 5am alarms will fix a nervous system that's been running on empty for years.
The leaders who perform sustainably at the highest level don't just try harder. They build smarter systems.
