We are thrilled to announce that The Well has officially purchased a new building in the heart of Historic Downtown Washington as our dream of progress is coming to life 😍

Over the coming months, we will be transitioning from our current location at 6244 Hwy 100, Suite 140, to our beautiful new office located at:

This beautiful eclectic and historic building represents more than just a new address—it reflects our commitment to growth, excellence, and creating an even better experience for our patients and community.

And we have our own 🅿️ PARKING LOT 🅿️ 😍🤭

How can we expect women to get the treatment they so desperately when mainstream medical is “screaming they need randomized controlled studies” and research which has never been done on women because it was illegal up until 1993!
It makes no sense!!!

We are finally in the place where we are experiencing valuable research that proves consistent levels estradiol, progesterone and testosterone are needed for quality of life, reduction of disease processes and promotion of healthy quantity of life as well, in the menopausal and perimenopausal woman. And we have people like Dr Mary Claire Haver and Dr Kelly Casperson paving the path to help push for approval of female HRT in mainstream medicine!

Women! Protect your brain from aging with estradiol!

The take away here:

✅ Type matters!
•It must be estradiol not Premarin or conjugated equine estrogens

✅ Timing matters!
•It must be started before a long stent of post menopause (post menopause is one full year without me**es)

We know this already but sure is nice to have a study backing the knowledge we already now ❤️

NEW STUDY: Low testosterone may be linked to pelvic organ prolapse in postmenopausal women.

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) happens when the muscles and connective tissue supporting the pelvic organs weaken, allowing the bladder, uterus, or re**um to shift downward. It’s common. It’s under-discussed. And now we may be learning more about the hormonal side of it.

In this new study of postmenopausal women:

➡️ Women with prolapse had LOWER free testosterone levels
➡️ More advanced prolapse was linked to EVEN LOWER testosterone
➡️ Estrogen levels were NOT significantly different between groups

We’ve spent decades talking about estrogen and the pelvic floor, while largely ignoring androgens like testosterone.

But testosterone receptors exist in pelvic floor muscles, connective tissue, the bladder, urethra, and va**na. Hormones matter to tissue health. They matter to strength. They matter to function.

This study doesn’t prove testosterone causes or prevents prolapse. But it adds to the growing body of evidence that androgens may play an important role in women’s pelvic health.

And importantly:
free testosterone may someday become a NON-invasive biomarker to help identify women at higher risk for prolapse.

The future of women’s health is not “just estrogen.”
It’s understanding the whole hormonal ecosystem.

Women deserve better research.
Women deserve nuanced conversations.
Women deserve pelvic floor medicine that studies female biology.
