It’s that time of the week for another wellness tip! Today we’re talking about intermittent fasting — a simple yet powerful practice that can support your body’s natural healing processes.

Fasting looks different for everyone. Whether you’re easing in with a 12–14 hour window or going for a longer 16–24 hour fast, the key is listening to your body. Men and women often have slightly different needs, so it’s important to find what works best for you.

One of the most incredible benefits of fasting happens around the 17-hour mark (when drinking only water, black coffee, or unsweetened tea). This is when your body shifts into autophagy — a natural “cellular cleanup” process. During autophagy, your cells remove damaged proteins and old cell parts, recycle them for energy, and create healthier new cells. Research links it to reduced inflammation, better metabolic health, improved longevity, and enhanced cellular repair.

Beyond autophagy, fasting can be an excellent tool for:

In today’s world, microplastics are nearly impossible to avoid. They’re in our clothes, bedding, dishes, and so much more. Because our skin is porous and acts as a living barrier, microplastics and the toxic chemicals they carry (like flame retardants) can be absorbed—especially through sweat, hair follicles, or minor skin damage. Once in the body, they’ve been linked to increased oxidative stress, inflammation, hormone disruption, and other wellness challenges.

One of the simplest swaps you can make? Choosing natural fabrics over synthetics.

Cotton, wool, and linen come straight from nature and carry higher vibrational frequencies (linen and wool often cited around 5,000 mHz, organic cotton around 100 mHz). We hope you all got a chance to step outside, soak up that warm sunshine, and feel the cool breeze on your skin. We definitely spent most of the day out in it 😎
