✨ Assisted Living Spotlight: Maggie! ✨

We’re so happy to shine the spotlight on Maggie! 💕 Maggie first joined us in Independent Living in 2024 and made the move to Assisted Living at the beginning of 2026. She has loved being part of our community and making memories with our residents and staff!

Some of Maggie’s favorite activities are our theme dinners and family nights, especially getting to see everyone come together, dress up, enjoy a delicious meal, and make memories. 🥰🎉

When asked what she would tell someone considering making The Villages at Oak Ridge their home, Maggie said:

“This is a great place to be and I have enjoyed the company of the staff and my neighbors here. I enjoy not being alone and being able to do things I want to do.”❤️

Celebrating the incredible journey of Navy Veteran Dan at The Villages at Oak Ridge! 🌟 His dream to participate in an Honor Flight was planned in a personalized way for his needs thanks to our dedicated team, including LED Cindi and Therapy staff Addi. With perseverance, Dan gained the strength to use a standard wheelchair and make the trip happen. On Monday, his loved ones, American Legion, VFW, Residents, and staff gathered to honor his achievement. Stay tuned for his Live a Dream experience! 🇺🇸

Congratulations! 🎉🎉

Debra came in to our facility for a short amount of time for therapy, but she left with so much strength! In her short stay, she learned about/participated in safety awareness strategies, exercise, endurance, money management, medication management, and so much more! She feels ready for her next adventure after her rehab stay at VOR. 💥

Our Assisted Living Residents enjoyed a delightful summer outing this week! 🌞 Going from the old to the new, they explored the Dubois County Museum in Jasper, discovering local history from early settlements to manufacturing growth, along with natural history exhibits. One of the exhibits showcased the little community of Duff, so we took the scenic route to explore the town on the way home! They also went to a restaurant they hadn't been to before, trying new flavors at Wings 'n' Things. We love seeing our residents interact with their surroundings and create lasting memories!
