Yesterday, we successfully launched Epic, our new electronic health record system, marking an exciting step forward for patient care.

As DCH providers and staff become familiar with the new system, some visits and services may take a little longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition.

Be sure to take advantage of MyChart, your secure online portal for accessing test results, managing appointments, communicating with your care team, and more.

Thank you for choosing DCH as your healthcare partner. We're excited to bring you a more connected, convenient healthcare experience.

Congratulations to Danielle Baker, CNA, for being named the DCH 2026 Q3 Pillar Award Winner!

"I could write a book about all the little things that Danielle does and the compassion she shows our patients. She is mentor to our new aides, preceptor to some, but friend to all. She is truly deserving of this award.” - DCH Co-Worker

Whether through your dedication to patient care, your support of your colleagues, your focus on efficiency and stewardship, your commitment to service excellence, your contributions to organizational growth or your engagement in our community, you represent what it means to be a Pillar at DCH.

Thank you for your hard work, your integrity and the steady support you provide to our team and those we serve. We are grateful to have you as part of the DCH family!

DCH Cradle Wall/Footprints to the Future

Since 2006, many families have selected our “Cradle Wall/Footprints” program as a special way to support the Women’s Health Center at Daviess Community Hospital. Many of these families bring their child to the display and show them the footprint as they tell the story of their birth.

Support of this program helps Daviess Community Hospital Women’s Health Center to continue investing in new technology, life- saving equipment, facility upgrades and our various women’s programs, support services and community education initiatives. For each gift of $125 or more, the Daviess Community Hospital Foundation will place a beautiful medallion engraved with the baby’s name, birthdate and footprint on the display near the Women’s Health Center.

The oldest footprint on the display honors Joe Kilps, who was the oldest living person born at DCH during our 100th Anniversary in 2013.

Joel and Emily Thompson recently placed the medallions for all three of their children. Chris and Rose Raber came to DCH with their youngest daughter, Adeline, to place her medallion alongside her three siblings' medallions.

We invite every baby born at Daviess Community Hospital, both past and present, to become part of the Hospital’s history forever on our Footprints to the Future. For more information about ordering a “footprint” or about the DCH Foundation, please call 812-254-2760.

🏀❤️ Making a Difference Through HOOPS for Healthcare 🏀❤️

The DCH Foundation is proud to share that proceeds from our HOOPS for Healthcare fundraiser were recently used to purchase a new electric tilt table for the CORE Center at Daviess Community Hospital.

The Tri W-G Electric Tilt Table is a motorized rehabilitation tool that helps patients safely transition from lying down to standing. It plays an important role in recovery for individuals recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, circulatory challenges, and those requiring weight-bearing therapy after prolonged immobilization.

This investment will help our rehabilitation team provide advanced therapy services that support patient mobility, strength, independence, and overall recovery.
Pictured are members of the CORE Center rehabilitation team alongside DCH Foundation Board members who help make projects like this possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported HOOPS for Healthcare. Your generosity is making a meaningful impact on patient care right here in our community.

🎉 Exciting News for Our Community!

We are excited to welcome Erin Collison as the leading practitioner of our renewed Hematology/Oncology Clinic starting January 2027! Erin has dedicated the past 8 years to serving patients and families at the DCH Health Pavilion and is deeply committed to the vision outlined in our “Reset. Rebuild. Renew.” strategic plan.

"Our goal is to expand access to high-quality healthcare services right here in our community," said CEO Justin D. Harris. "Erin's leadership and passion for patient care make her the ideal person to help guide this important next chapter."

The reopening of the Hematology/Oncology Clinic represents another significant step forward as DCH continues to strengthen healthcare services for the region and improve access to the care our patients need, close to home.

💙 If you are a patient of Erin Collison's through the DCH Health Pavilion, we will be contacting you in the coming weeks. Erin will continue practicing family medicine through the end of 2026 and exciting details about our current and new family providers, services, and schedules will be shared in the coming months.
