PhillipsPhitness Online Lifestyle & Bodybuilding Prep Coach Here To Help You Reach Your Goals! February 14th 2010, I was at the heaviest I have ever weighed.

At 5’ 8” 282 pounds I decided I had to make a change. Right out of high school I was the most out of shape I have ever been, after going to culinary school that fall semester I realized that being overweight and losing my breath over a couple set of stairs just wasn’t right for me. It is not right for anyone. It’s embarrassing and downright does not make you feel too highly of yourself. So that is

when I decided to make a change and that enough was enough. People always tell me you have it easy, and wow your lucky and my response is always the same I had to work for the body that I have now and I continue to work each and every day, not only to maintain my current body but to keep building and improving on it. After around three weeks of improperly dieting I put myself into a sick like state not realizing that eating less is not the only key to the game of survival. I dropped my first twelve pounds quick, but was making myself sick in the process - to the point of passing out in my lunch hour. After the support from my friends around me I realized that I had to research this diet thing a little further. So after a few website views, article reads, as well as a nutrition class that had started that very week, I learned that eating less is not the answer - it is what we eat that makes the difference. So after gaining this knowledge and about five months later I was down fifty-five pounds; I was looking good and feeling good too! At this time though I started to hit a plateau, but I was not quite sure why, I was eating well and jogging around the block, as well as doing some mediocre exercises. It was this time that my old chef at the time told me that I should go to the gym with him and try out a couple of workouts. My first two sessions were down right awful; it really put me into perspective that I still did not look as good as I wanted and that I could do so much better! It was intimidating seeing all these people just look in terrific shape and I could barely run farther than half a mile or even pick up the fifteen pound dumbbells. But I kept pushing forward and after a few weeks in the gym the results started happening and I became hooked on the “gym” lifestyle. After another seven months of working out, I was down another fifty-eight pounds, tallying my total weight loss at one hundred and twelve pounds. This had me at one hundred and seventy pounds, with my original weight being two hundred and eighty-two pounds. I was really feeling good about myself! I was a stronger lifter and running longer. But even then I did not realize that there is always room to grow. I was happy and content with where I was and nothing could change that. After a full year of being thin and “in shape”, I started to wonder why I was not getting any bigger or any stronger, so again I went back to the books and started learning about programs, and constantly changing them to train the body to adapt. At the same time, I was also noticing others in the gym possibly doing things incorrectly or just down right did not know where to even begin and I wanted to help, but did not want to over step my boundaries. This is when I discovered the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and decided to get my certification in Personal Training. I was finally able to help people while also helping myself and learning various new strategies to help myself as well as others around me! Personally, I put on twenty pounds of pure lean muscle and am not one hundred and ninety pounds now knowing that proper programming and nutrition timing is key! On February 12th, 2016, I enrolled to become a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, because yet again I realized there was more I can do to help myself and others. After successfully completing this course, I have decided that I am going to start helping others with exercise and nutrition. With the knowledge I have gained I am confident that I can help someone like you reach your goals, and I am willing to reach those goals with you every step of the way!

🔥 KOLE IS ON A ROLL 🔥

The photos are incredible, but they only tell part of story… Before joining PhillipsPhitness, Kole had already lost a significant amount of weight on her own. But at 152.5 pounds, she found herself stuck, frustrated, and unsure of what to do next. Her goal wasn’t just to lose more weight, it was to build muscle, improve her physique, and feel strong again.

Fast forward to her lowest weigh-in of 134.9 pounds, bringing her total weight loss journey to an amazing 124 pounds lost! When Kole started coaching with me, she was on a moderate-to-high dose GLP-1. While the scale was moving, muscle had definitely been sacrificed along the way. Through proper nutrition, strength training, intentional movement, and consistency, she’s now on the lowest GLP-1 dose possible while looking and feeling better than ever. But her biggest win? Learning how to enjoy Disney trips, vacations, camping weekends, nights out, and life itself without abandoning her goals.

When I asked Kole what her biggest lesson was, she said “Showing up every day. Even when I didn’t want to, I did.”

That’s exactly why she’s been successful! Not perfection & not motivation simply just a huge serving of consistency. I’m So proud of you, Kole. The weight loss is incredible, but the habits and mindset you’ve built will last a lifetime. 💪🏼🔥

Here’s to what’s next! You haven’t seen the last of Kole yet 😏

TIME FOR A STORY 📖

With my 2026 season wrapped up and slowly going into this off season I want to touch base on a few things. One thing people don’t always see about stepping on stage is that getting lean enough for a bodybuilding show isn’t just a physical challenge, it’s very much so a mental one too…

On show day, people see the shredded physique, the confidence, the tan, and the smile. What they don’t see are the months of saying no when it would be easier to say yes, the constant fatigue, the food focus, the self-doubt, and the battles that happen behind closed doors. And what many people don’t talk about is that the work doesn’t end when the show is over. For me just like for many others, the reverse diet and post-show phase have been just as challenging. The food noise, the urge to eat everything in sight, trying to find balance again while still sticking to the plan. It can be a daily battle. Physically, you start to feel better but mentally, it can be one of the hardest parts of the entire process.

That’s why I’m incredibly grateful for my coach, , and my team at

Throughout prep, and especially after stepping off stage, Dylan has been there every step of the way. Not just adjusting macros and training, but providing guidance, accountability, and perspective when I needed it most. Having someone who understands the process and can help navigate both the physical and mental side of competing is invaluable. The physique I brought to the stage may have been mine and the best I have ever looked, but the structure, support, and guidance behind it came from Dylan… I’m thankful to have a coach who genuinely cares about his athletes beyond just how they look on show day 🫶🏼 I’m soo excited to grow this off season & keep building, keep improving, and see what the future holds 🙌🏼🙏🏼

🔥 CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: LAUREN 🔥

Towards the end of 2025, Lauren reached out to me and said she was ready to make 2026 her strongest year yet. Fast forward 22 weeks, and she’s down 14 pounds, completely changed her body composition, and most importantly, transformed her mindset around food and fitness.

The physical changes are impressive, but the mental changes are what make this transformation special. As a busy working mom, Lauren has learned that prioritizing herself isn’t selfish, it’s NECESSARY. She has proven that progress is possible even when life is busy, schedules are packed, and responsibilities never stop. One of the biggest mindset shifts has been her relationship with setbacks. In the past, a bad weekend would lead to trying to “make up for it” by starving herself during the week or adding extra workouts as punishment. Now, she understands that one off-plan meal or one rough weekend doesn’t erase months of hard work. She no longer chases perfection. She focuses on consistency.

You can train 7 days a week, do two workouts a day & can spend hours in the gym BUT if your nutrition isn’t in check, your results will always be slow moving if at all.

Lauren stopped trying to outwork poor habits and started building better ones. That’s when everything began to change. 14 pounds down & a complete body composition overhaul!! A healthier relationship with food & a stronger mindset. And like I keep saying with all my amazing clients…we’re still just getting started 😈 Proud of you, Lauren here’s what’s to come 🙌🏼💪🏼🫶🏼🔥

Another amazing and successful day at the Pittsburgh expo at the David L. Lawerence Convention Center 🙌🏼 💛🖤

Days like today are such a reminder of why I fell in love with this sport in the first place. Being surrounded by so many passionate, hardworking people and getting to watch some of my favorite athletes absolutely light up the bikini stage was incredibly inspiring. & 🫶🏼 Seeing the discipline, confidence, and energy everyone brings to bodybuilding always pushes me to want more for myself too, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

This sport has truly changed my life in so many ways. It’s taught me discipline, resilience, patience, and how important it is to keep showing up even on the hard days. Every expo, every show, every conversation with people who share the same passion makes me feel more motivated to continue growing within my own bodybuilding journey and becoming the best version of myself possible.

One of my favorite parts of the weekends is always reconnecting with the people who continue to inspire me and remind me why this community is so special. Always a pleasure getting to see my coach along with 🫶🏼

Also a huge shoutout to some incredible people I got the chance to see and meet today:

&

And always great getting to see my homegirl
again too!!

Beyond grateful for the memories, the motivation, and the constant reminder that this sport is so much bigger than just stepping on stage. The passion, friendships, and community around bodybuilding are something truly special, and weekends like this always leave me hungry to keep improving and chasing bigger goals 💪🏼🔥

Thinking about hiring a personal trainer or online coach?
Make sure you do your research first. Don’t blindly follow someone just because they’re your friend, have a big social media following, or suddenly decided to become a coach overnight…

🚩 Personal Trainer Red Flags 🚩

If your trainer…

• Got a random bundle of certifications because they were on sale for a holiday special

• Became “certified” because it sounded fun or seemed like an easy side hustle

• Offers 30 minute sessions and promises life-changing results in an accelerated manor

• Hands every client the same cookie-cutter workouts

• Throws random macros and calorie numbers together with no explanation

• Doesn’t focus on posture, mobility, movement quality, or recovery

• Builds their coaching approach around trends and imitation instead of real-world experience and continued education

…it may be time to swipe left & look at other possible trainers.

Real coaching is deeper than a workout PDF and weekly check-in. A good coach should understand training progression, recovery, nutrition, habit building, injury prevention, and how to adapt all of it to YOU as an individual. And for me, this isn’t just theory, I’ve lived the transformation myself through my own 100+ pound weight loss journey, years of education, certifications, and hands-on experience helping real people create sustainable results.

I also believe in walking the walk. My results were built through consistency, discipline, education, proper nutrition, and sustainable habits… Not shortcuts, crash dieting, or chasing the fastest possible fix. Your health deserves more than trends, shortcuts, and surface-level coaching. Choose experience & education. Choose a coach who genuinely care about your long-term success.

If you’re ready to make a real change and want guidance from someone who’s truly lived the process, my DMs are always open. 🫶🏼 🧡
