Here’s a long rambler. Old man pontificates on difficult situations from safe distance.

I don’t know that this will help anybody, but I felt the need to share a few observations. These aren’t new things, but really a culmination of many years of watching things deteriorate.

Trying not to repeat the same things that are said by people more capable than me on here.

I don’t even touch on the files that are steadily being revealed, but I think it’s related.

Listen if you want. I won’t take it personally if you scroll on.

I hope you’re all staying sane and finding glimmers of peace and happiness amid the sh*tstorm.

Sorry to ignore this page for so long! I've been busy. I just finished publishing this book - The Taking Tree.

I wrote it over 4 years. It's a mystery/horror novel informed by my time in the contemporary art business. It's equally as informed by my time living and working in rural America.

It's in two parts - the first part reads like a mystery, and the second part reads like a horror. There are four ghost stories woven in with keys to the main story.

It follows a factory worker from rural Wisconsin named Carl Edgefield. Carl has an interest in making sculptures out of silicone. In part two, Carl splits into two people - one stays working at the factory, and the other pursues a career in the contemporary art business. The story is at turns funny and brutal as it follows Carl and Karl and a cast of other colorful characters.

It's available in print and ebook form on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and in ebook form on iBooks.

I'll be tattooing at Painless Ric's in downtown Camas today from 2 until close.

The most established tattoo parlor in the region and one of the oldest in the state. I've logged a few hours there in other ways over the years. I'm happy to be joining the crew!

Here's some new flash for the shop!
This is based on a drawing project that I've gotten some recognition for in the art business - I've been doing a small drawing like these every workday for the past 16 years. At the end of a couple months, I have a drawing that looks like this - I call them Accretion drawings.
Before I did the daily drawings, I did a painting every workday for 7 years. That work was what initially got me representation in the art world.
