✨ Provider Spotlight: Jennifer McLaughlin, PA-C ✨

👩‍⚕️ Meet Jennifer McLaughlin, PA-C, a dedicated provider at Capstone Family Medicine in Palmer. Jenny moved to Alaska as a child and has embraced the Alaskan lifestyle ever since. She’s actively involved in the community through Special Olympics, Lions Club, VFW, and the Elks Lodge.

With a strong passion for preventive healthcare, Jenny is committed to helping her patients stay on top of their health screenings and overall wellness. She earned her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from UAA before completing the MEDEX PA program at the University of Washington.

When she’s not caring for patients, Jenny enjoys hiking Alaska’s beautiful trails, competing in the Scottish Highland Games, and training her loyal dog, Zoey, to become a therapy dog.

✨ Provider Spotlight: Bryan Dahms, MD ✨

👨‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Bryan Dahms, a Family Medicine physician with a focus in Obstetrics at Capstone Family Medicine.

Born and raised in Alaska, Dr. Dahms was inspired to follow in the footsteps of his mother, Laurie, a longtime family physician in the Mat-Su Valley.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Dahms completed his residency at North Colorado Family Medicine, where he focused on rural health, obstetrics, and full-spectrum family care. He continues to incorporate the latest medical advancements into patient care through ongoing education and collaboration.

Outside of work, Dr. Dahms enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, cooking, and spending quality time with his wife and their four children. 🚴⛷️

This educational diabetes class is designed to help individuals better understand diabetes and feel more confident managing their health. Participants will learn how diabetes affects the body, practical strategies for blood sugar management, nutrition guidance, medication overviews, and lifestyle habits that support long-term wellness.

The class is led by knowledgeable healthcare professionals and provides clear, practical information in a supportive, judgment-free environment. It is open to individuals with diabetes, prediabetes, and those supporting a loved one.

Please plan to attend all sessions as this is one class that takes place over multiple meeting dates.
