Akasha's Journey

Akasha's Journey Online holistic gift and metaphysical shop, in-person classes, readings, and holistic healing.

Akasha's Heart is an ordained interfaith minister, a teaching Reiki Master & Run Valdr Practitioner, & a certified dog trainer. She has been reading Tarot & Medicine cards and performing Chakra & Crystal healing for almost 20 years. Akasha's Heart walks her path in this life as a teacher and healer. She is an intuitive empath who communicates with Spirit, Angels, and Guides through clairsentience,

clairaudience, and clairvoyance. In sacred space, and in a container of perfect love, she conveys the messages that she receives for her clients with the utmost compassion; heart-to-heart. Akasha's Heart uses a variety of divination modalities for these messages, some of which include Tarot Cards, Healing Crystals, Angel Cards, Animal Medicine Cards, Ocean (Seashell) Oracle, the Dog Oracle, and others. (She reads for dogs, too!) Akasha feels that although many clients come seeking information, they are actually seeking a path to wholeness, and as such, if she is guided to do so, she will offer her clients other healing modalities during the session if it is for the client's highest good. Akasha's Heart was first introduced to divination in 1994 when she began reading Medicine and Tarot Cards. She is an ordained Interfaith Minister, owns and operates Akasha's Journey healing and learning center in Wassaic, New York, and she offers classes and sessions in Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, Crystal Healing, Tuning Fork Therapy, Sound Healing, RunValdr, and others. In addition, Akasha is a Certified Dog Trainer, is Co-Chairperson for Changing Times Changing Worlds (Interfaith Metaphysical) Conference, and she is also one of the founding Organizers for the Hudson Valley Holistic Market.

BYOP
Bring Your Own Project

Every Friday Night
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

sketch, draw, paint, print, stamp, model, sculpt, carve, whittle, felt, stitch, bead, knit, crochet, macramé, embroider, cross-stitch, patch, mend, darn, quilt, weave, spin, tat

There's something that happens when you make things with your hands. The mind slows down. The noise goes quiet. It doesn't matter what you're working on, the act of making does something good for mind, body, and soul.

We started BYOP because making alone at home is fine. Making together is soooooo much better. There's a different energy in a room full of people doing their own thing, side by side. You look up, you talk, you get back to work. Nobody's performing. Everybody's just making.

No screens. No scrolling. Just hands and material and time. It's good for kids, good for adults, good for anyone who spends too much of their day staring at a device. And yes, that’s most of us. Our devices are melting our brains. Sometimes, I can just feel my brain ooooozing. Ugh.

And something else happens when you start making things yourself. You begin to understand what goes into the things other people make. The hours. The decisions. The patience. The perseverance. You stop seeing a price tag and start seeing a person. That's a good shift.

If you’re painting or sculpting, please bring your own water and protective coverings. The chairs, tables, and tablecloths were a big investment by Matthew Schnepf and Munawar Ahmed. It’s incredibly important that everything is respected, maintained, and kept in pristine condition.

Join us every Friday evening, starting at 4:00 PM. Pack a little bag with everything you need for your current project, bring some refreshments for yourself, and walk right in. We’ll be on the ground floor of the barn with several tables and chairs set up. Take a seat, settle in, enjoy yourself!

I am making "Hackey Sacks" that are available at the Wassaic Commons Farmers Market and can also be picked up at my house in Wassaic. I can absolutely ship them anywhere as well. If you'd like a special color, I'd be happy to make you one. Turnaround time is 1-2 days if I don't have your color made yet. They are $10/ea plus shipping if I'm shipping them. They are selling out as fast as I can make them.

This week's "hackey sack" restock will include new colors!
