Most days, you'll find me somewhere between making herbal products, blending teas, pouring salves, answering questions, researching ingredients, installing faux dreads, restocking shelves, cleaning, ordering supplies, and trying to figure out what new challenge small business ownership has decided to hand me next.
Last month marked three years in business.
Three years of learning. Three years of mistakes. Three years of growth. Three years of discovering that the things worth building rarely happen overnight.
The same lesson applies to the natural wellness path that I encourage every day in this shop.
Whether you're improving your health, supporting your skin, reducing stress, or simply trying to feel better in your own body, there usually isn't a quick fix. Herbal wellness, lifestyle changes, and traditional approaches require patience, consistency, and commitment. The results often come quietly, through small choices repeated over time.
That's why the reviews shared below mean so much to me.
Balanced by the Moon is different from many shops in this industry because a large percentage of what I sell is something I personally make, formulate, blend, craft, test, package, or create with my own hands. My products are personal to me because they come from countless hours of learning, refining, and genuinely caring about the people who use them.
Nothing fills my cup quite like hearing that someone's skin finally found relief, that a tea blend became part of their daily routine, that a wellness product helped support their goals, or that a set of faux dreads helped someone feel more comfortable and confident in who they are.
Those moments remind me why I started.
The past few years have brought some significant changes, some difficult lessons, and more than a few moments of uncertainty. But standing here today, I feel something incredibly valuable:
Confidence.
Confidence in my craft.
Confidence in my purpose.
Confidence in the direction this little shop is headed.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, supported me, shared my posts, left a review, referred a friend, attended a class, booked an appointment, or simply stopped in to say hello.
You are a bigger part of this journey than you probably realize.
And I can't wait to see what comes next.
