Okay, friends… I need to crowdsource some ideas.😬
I have a problem, and I’m trying to figure out how to solve it.
I want to pursue my Personal Training and Corrective Exercise certifications so that I can better help the people I work with who are dealing with pain, movement issues, muscular imbalances, and recurring problems that massage alone simply can't fix. (I can help, but there's other elements at play - like needing to help you strengthen things)
And honestly? I don't feel like this can wait.
I'm seeing clients who aren't getting the results they need from massage alone. But, legally, I can't give you exercises and make sire you're doing them correctly. I'm also seeing people who know they need help but can't get into a physical therapist for lack of referral or insurance.
I don't want to just keep saying, “You should probably see a PT.”
I want to be able to do more.
I want the education and tools to understand what I'm seeing, help clients safely improve their movement, build strength where they need it, and give them something they can actually DO between appointments.
Here's the frustrating part: because these certifications aren't accepted as continuing education for my massage therapy license, I can't simply use my business education budget/money to pay for them.
So… I'm putting this out to my very creative community:
💡 HOW WOULD YOU FUNDRAISE FOR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION?
Would you do a special service?
A class?
A “sponsor my education” campaign?
Sell something?
Crowdfund on Keva?
Offer some kind of educational/workout challenge?
Partner with another local business?
I'm open to ideas — even the weird ones. 😂
My goal is to raise enough to cover the certifications without putting the cost onto my family or taking money away from the business.
And if I can make the fundraiser something that ALSO gives back to my clients/community in the process, even better.
I know there are some ridiculously creative people in this community, so help me brainstorm.
What would YOU be willing to participate in, purchase, attend, donate toward, or see offered as a fundraiser?
Drop your ideas below. 👇
Because I'd really like to stop seeing people stuck in the gap between “massage isn't quite enough” and “I can't get into PT.”
I want to help bridge that gap — and I want to start now. 😘
