Wellner for 25 years. They live in Waterloo, Iowa and have many family members and friends who love them dearly. Their oldest son, Brad, lives in Iowa City, and brings the widest smile to Jill's face when she talks about him. Their youngest child, Kayla, is a freshman at the University of Iowa and has the biggest fan and friend in her momma. Their sweet, middle child, Nick, lost his battle to Batten Disease at the age of 16, in 2017. Jill and Jim held fundraisers for Batten Disease research, raising awareness and providing support to other families suffering from this horrible, fatal disease.
