Today, we had the privilege of celebrating a very special 101-year-old resident, along with all of the August babies in her community at Presbyterian Village Athens! 🎂🥳 What a beautiful reminder that every year is worth celebrating.

At Oconee Area Home Care Services, we don’t just want to help you get through the day—we want to help you live your best life for as long as possible. Because who knows…with a little care, a little joy, and the right support, we might just be celebrating YOUR 101st birthday one day! 💕🎈

Our Gospel Elvis Tour has officially made its final stop at The Haven at Lake Oconee! 🎶✝️👑

Three communities. Three stops. One mission: to bring joy, encouragement, and meaningful moments to those we serve. But our personal care aides do that everyday!

From the first note to the final “Amen,” it has been such a joy traveling from community to community and sharing moments of music, laughter, and hope with so many wonderful seniors.

👑 Stop #2 on the Gospel Elvis Tour! 🎤

One community down, another filled with smiles, music, and a little gospel Elvis goodness! We hit the middle of the road on the tour at The Glen at Lake Oconee and boy was it a good one!

We’re traveling throughout Lake Oconee this week celebrating Elvis Week—and more importantly, celebrating the people who make our communities so special. ❤️

These moments remind us why we do what we do. Caring for someone means caring about their whole life—not just their care needs.

Whether it’s in their home, in their community, or simply through a song that brings back a cherished memory, we believe joy is part of caring.

And we’ve got one more stop to make! 🎶

Elvis Week gave us the perfect excuse to hit the road and bring a little gospel, a lot of Elvis, and plenty of smiles to our friends in the Lake Oconee area!

Our first stop, at The Harbor at Harmony Crossing was filled with music, laughter, encouragement, and a few memories of The King. ❤️

Because caring for our loved ones is about more than helping with the things they need at home. It’s about bringing joy, connection, and meaningful moments into their lives.

We want to take a moment to recognize Mrs. Dana Jenkins!

Dana’s clients are constantly calling our office to brag on her and share how wonderful of a job she does. There is no greater compliment than hearing firsthand how much of a difference a caregiver is making in someone’s life.

Her genuine compassion, kindness, and dedication shine through every day. It is clear that caring for others isn’t just her job—it’s her heart. Because of that, we were honored to present Dana with a Certificate of Appreciation and Excellence in recognition of the outstanding care she provides.

We are incredibly blessed to have so many amazing caregivers on our team. Each of you makes a difference in the lives of our clients, and we appreciate you more than words can express.

This is just the beginning! We will be regularly recognizing caregivers who go above and beyond, because exceptional care deserves to be celebrated.

Our Gorgeous Grandma Week celebration continued today with one of the silliest activities yet!

The ladies paired up, painted portraits of each other on plexiglass, and then stamped their masterpieces onto paper. Let's just say some portraits looked exactly like their partners...and some required a little imagination! 😂
But the laughter was real, the memories were made, and the beauty shined through every smile. Thank you to The Glen at Lake Oconee for letting us celebrate these gorgeous grandmas—and great-grandmas—one masterpiece at a time. 💕
