🚀 Exciting News for Young Autistic Adults in California! 🚀
The UCLA PEERS® Clinic is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with the California Department of Rehabilitation to offer PEERS® for Careers!

This is a 16-week, evidence-based employment-focused social skills program specifically designed to help autistic adults build the confidence, tools, and social strategies needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment.

🔍 Who Can Participate?
If you or someone you know meets the following criteria, this program is for you:

📍 Location: Must be a resident of California

🎂 Age: Between 18 to 21 years old

🧠 Identity: Identify as autistic

📚 Education: Currently enrolled in college or an educational program

💼 Eligibility: Eligible for California Department of Rehabilitation Student Services

💡 Core Skills Covered in the Program:
From landing the job to thriving in the workplace, this program covers essential professional skills:

What’s happening this week at the Special Parents Information Network (SPIN)? We are kicking off the first week of June with an empowering workshop for parents and caregivers!

🗓️ When: Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Where: In person with live, virtual instruction presented in Spanish at Raíces y Cariño (7 Hangar Way # B, Watsonville).
💡 What: Assertive Advocacy: Skills for parents & caregivers (Presented by Kidpower, organized by SPIN).

Learn essential communication skills to protect and empower yourself and your children with disabilities. We will practice managing emotional triggers, addressing problems focused on solutions, and using the Fullpower Boundary Bridge strategy to strengthen communication.
