Why Vetcorder? 🩺

When using the SpO₂ feature on the Vetcorder Pro, how do you know you've placed the sensor in the best location?

The answer is Perfusion Index (PI)❗️

PI provides an indication of pulse strength at the sensor site, helping you determine whether the SpO₂ sensor is positioned over a well-perfused area. A stronger perfusion signal means the monitor has a better pulse signal to work with, giving you greater confidence in your readings.

Temperature can also impact PI values. Warmer, well-perfused areas typically provide stronger signals.

Recommended SpO₂ sensor placement sites include the tongue, lip, prepuce, and v***a.

Instead of guessing whether your sensor placement is optimal, the Vetcorder Pro gives you additional information to help you make informed adjustments when needed.
