Yesterday I forgot my watch on my run
I know it shouldn’t matter, but I found myself running a little more freely than normal. No heart rate was measured, no VO2 max was estimated. I didn’t know and I didn’t have to care.
There is something about tuning in to your own body’s cues that is freeing.
Metrics are great. Technology is great. But sometimes it’s ok if we don’t measure the calories, don’t measure the pace, and don’t look at the time, and we just tune in to the body we’ve been gifted.
Maybe tomorrow I will leave the phone home too😍.
