ARCh is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that provides programs and services to children and adults with disabilities and their families in Waukesha County. ARCh is a parent-founded organization focusing on the needs of individuals with disabilities. It has been evident since 1952, a need for programs for the community, caregivers, and individuals. acy Opportunities for children and adults, and P.A.C.E. (Prevention, Awareness and Community Education). ARCh now serves 13,000 individuals through programs and services. The verdict is in... Team Purple won!! 💜🏆We had a great time spending our last day flying kites and competing in fun challenges! The Milwaukee Kite Club paid us a visit and taught us how to fly handmade kites. We loved decorating them with our own personal touches! We ended the day with our counselor obstacle course, where Team Purple took home the victory! 🎉Thank you to everyone for making GAINS so special. We can't wait to see you all again next year! 💛

Sirens & Swimming! 🚔🏖️ We had a special visit from the Menomonee Falls Police Department, who gave our Achievers a behind the scenes look at what they do every day. It was a great opportunity to learn how police officers serve our community and why they are everyday heroes! Our Achievers also competed for points in a fun sandcastle building competition and even got to bury their counselors in the sand!⏳
We wrapped up the day with one last swim at the beach, making it the perfect ending to our final beach day of the GAINS season!✨

GAINS, assemble!💥🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ We spent our Super Hero Day becoming superheroes ourselves! Achievers had a special visit from our friend Lori, who put on a wonderful puppet show about what it means to be an everyday hero. We showed our own heroism by making lasagna for Lasagna Love, helping provide meals to people in need. Then, just like any superhero on their day off, we recharged with a relaxing yoga session led by Martha. To wrap up our day, we played superhero games like hulk smash and flash relay, and created our very own captain america shields! 🛡️💚🦸 If you could be any superhero, who would you choose to be?

Today the fire department got some new recruits! 🚒Achievers had the exciting opportunity to explore a fire truck and an ambulance with the guidance of some incredible firefighters. Thank you to the Menomonee Falls Fire Department for taking the time to visit and for showing us the true meaning of being a hero! The fun continued with our Color War competition as teams worked together to earn points throughout the day. Campers got creative by making banana foster, designing colorful Mardi Gras floats, and creating chalk murals. We wrapped up the day with a parade around the grounds, proudly celebrating everyone's team and color!🪻🌱

Color War Week is here!💜💚Our staff and Achievers couldn't be more excited for a week filled with friendly competition, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of silliness! Today, we kicked things off by creating team chants, designing banners, and earning our first points on the road to victory. Now it's time to choose a side... Would you rather be a giant, a wizard, or an elf?🧙🧝‍♂ Today, our Achievers got to be all three during our fun yard game! We started the morning by creating props for our adventure, including elf ears, giant hands, and wizard wands. Then, we put our taste buds to the test by making flavored popcorn to decide which is better: sweet or savory?🍿 To wrap up the day, we enjoyed playing board games and even made rain music while listening to the real rain outside.🌧️🎶 What a wonderful way to end an amazing week! We had so much fun making memories together and can't wait to do it again next week!💫

Current GAINS status: 99% sunshine and 100% soaked! 🔆🌊Today's theme was Water, and we celebrated the best way we know how, with plenty of splashes and smiles! Achievers had a blast competing in water balloon volleyball and a water balloon version of hot potato, where teamwork, laughter, and a few surprise splashes kept everyone on their toes. 🎈🏐 After all the excitement, we headed to the beach to cool off, play in the sand, and soak up the beautiful summer weather before the end of the week!✨

We had a spud-tacular surprise today! 🥔✨ Mr. Potato Head stopped by to join our Achievers as we celebrated kindness and gratitude! Our Achievers spent the day learning about the importance of giving back to our community by creating special gifts for our donors, making kindness coupons and kindness rocks, and making more dog treats and toys for the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha.🐾 We wrapped up our amazing day of giving with a fun yoga session with Martha and a kindness scavenger hunt! We loved seeing so much kindness in action. 💕 What are some ways you’ve shown kindness recently?🌟
