A few weeks ago I had the absolute JOY and privilege of providing music therapy at Team Up With Families and Katy's Kloset!! We had so much fun dancing and playing guitar! For the pets theme, I thought it would be fun to move the parachute and throw cat toys in the middle! They had a ball and one staff member said it was the longest the boys’ attention was held ALL DAY. So I’d say it was a pretty successful day! It was also fun to brush up on my group leading skills since I am primarily providing 1:1 services in my practice!

These cuties joined in on my client’s 1:1 in home session and boy was it fun! Instead of viewing this as a distraction and rushing right into the music, I decided to use the opportunity to talk about gentleness with pets and instruments. We demonstrated this on the drum and guitar. He even verbalized “kitties” spontaneously!!
Make room for these moments!!

Swipe ➡️ to clean out our first office! What a year it’s been! I’ve grown my caseload so much over 12 months and I’m so excited to open the next door! Sharing a space with Resonance has been nothing short of amazing! 2 separate businesses but SO much collaboration!!
