Five years!!! 🤗🎉 We made it!
As a person who started my first business in second grade, and registered my first LLC when I was 16, and tends to come up with at least three new business ideas every fall, 😅 it is a big deal for me to make it to five years in anything.
I know that most small businesses don’t make it past three years. So many amazing ideas and services and people don’t get to connect to the audience they want to serve because starting a business takes so much, and it often takes everything a person has.
But there’s something special about Radiant Lotus.
Though I HAVE given it everything I had, and then some (thankful for access to loans so I could keep this place going!), I feel like I’ve received a lot more. This business gives to me in ways I can’t explain.
The warmth. The kindness. The curious community that checks in and has seen me through the very worst days of my life. The collective breath. The stories you all share with me, giving me a small glimpse into your lives. The grace and encouragement we give each other.
I feel consumed with appreciation.
Coming from the terror and fear I faced over the past two years while I navigated the loss of housing and safety and dignity… it’s a deep reminder that nothing is permanent, and that if we keep moving forward when we find ourselves in darkness, we are sure to see light again.
Thank you for being my light, radiant community. I love you so much. 💜💜💜
