Please bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. Partnering with Waupaca Area Public Library and UW Extension-Madison, program runs through August 10th

❓What does the coalition actually do? Be Well Waupaca County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to building a healthier, more connected community for all. Here’s how we bring that mission to life:

Today (Tuesday) is the LAST DAY of our Holiday Food Box fundraiser. We’re feeling so grateful for the generosity this community has already shown to help us feed local families this season!!

Thanks to incredible community support, we’ve raised $2,295 toward our $6,500 goal. We still have a gap to close, and every contribution helps. Each $45 funds one Holiday Food Box for a family right here in Waupaca County.

Four years ago, our coalition member Christi Nichole helped spark an idea that’s grown into something our community looks forward to each year.

As she shared recently:
"Four years ago a community partner came to me saying 'I was awarded a grant to buy 150 turkeys to distribute to families in need for Thanksgiving. Can you help me distribute them?'
We met her with 'why just give away turkeys when we could host a food drive and complement the turkey with an entire box of holiday foods?'"

This year, the need is higher and funding is lower. We’re collaborating with the Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative to support local farmers and producers in assembling special holiday food boxes for families.
