đľ Letâs talk about tea leaves for a minute.
I get a lot of questions about tea-leaf readings.
âWhat exactly is it?â
âIs it witchcraft?â
âIs it against my religion?â
âAm I going to bring something negative into my life?â
âAre you talking to spirits?â
And I think itâs time we actually talk about it instead of letting the mystery and fear answer those questions for us.
Tea-leaf reading is an old tradition of looking at the shapes and patterns left behind in a cup and using symbolism, intuition and conversation to explore what they might mean.
When I sit down with someone, Iâm not summoning anything. Iâm not opening a portal. Iâm not asking a demon to come talk to you. đ
Weâre having tea.
Weâre looking at whatâs in the cup.
And weâre talking about YOU.
Maybe you see a shape that reminds you of someone.
Maybe something makes you think about a decision youâve been avoiding.
Maybe a symbol brings up something you didnât even realize was weighing on you.
Sometimes the most valuable part isnât the âreadingâ at all.
Itâs having someone slow down with you and ask:
âWhatâs really going on with you?â
Thatâs why I love this kind of work.
Because life gets loud. We rush. We work. We take care of everyone else. We donât always give ourselves permission to sit still long enough to listen to ourselves.
A cup of tea can create that pause.
And if youâre a person of faith and this isnât something youâre comfortable with, I respect that. You donât have to participate in something that doesnât align with your beliefs.
But if youâve been curious and your only reason for staying away has been fear of something you donât really understandâŚ
Come ask me about it.
You donât have to believe in anything.
You can simply be curious. đż
Sometimes we donât need someone to tell us our future.
Sometimes we just need a different way to look at our present.
